“Perfect Place to stay in Budapest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

5 Star Grand Hotel with Boutique Character. The Iberostar lived up to our expectations. We stayed there from June 9 to June 11 2013. With 3 adults in a Kingsize bed room with an extra bed. Luxury and large bathroom with soaker tub, separate shower and toilet. Perfect location in the business district just a few blocks from funky restaurants and shops. Only steps from parliament and the chain link bridge. The hotel is located at beautiful square with lots of trees and when we looked out of the windows we had the feeling were are in a park. Great hotel worth the higher rate.
Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Book a room on the 3 floor or higher up with windows to the square.

The room at the Iberostar was wonderful, as was the service. Bathroom had a shower and tub to die for (with glass walls separating it from the bedroom, so VERY modern). The beds were luxurious and the air conditioning flawless (not a given in Europe!). The location was right on a beautiful square with a fountain and was walking distance from a Metra 2 stop and from Castle Hill. The breakfast was expensive but absolutely wonderful in selection, quality, and quantity (the last was unlimited!).

This hotel is right in the middle of everything. Within walking distance is the Opera, Parliament, Danube, Castle Hill and of course St. Stephens Basilica right around the corner. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a free upgrade to a superior room, and the view from 302 was relaxing, facing the Liberty Square. Soundproof room, with an amazing bed, it offers some quality sleep time. Bathroom facilities were more than fine, no complaints whatsoever. Only minus detail was the staff's recommendations on restaurants, they were typical (different staff pointed us the same places). Other than that they really served our every need or question we had. The Jacuzzi was great. Didn't eat at the La Plaza restaurant so can't really say much about it. All in all it was a great 5 star hotel, not so expensive and would definitely visit again!

Great hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful location close to St Stephens, the waterfront and shopping. Lots of restaurants all around. Breakfast is good. Can eat from continental buffet or order free off the menu. We received a free upgrade to superior room. Would definitely stay there again.

Located on Liberty Square it is only a short walk to the Chain Bridge, Shoes on the Danube and Parliament building. We had booked an executive room but were upgraded to an Executive room on the second floor. Although not overlooking the square itself, this room was spacious, glamorous (if a little OTT) and full of gadgets. Well worth the price. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as it was a little steep at €17 each - instead we went to the nearby bakery.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful – nothing was too much trouble and we were even offered use of the spa showers and towels as our flight was long after our 12pm check out.

Although the gym facilities aren’t great (3 cardio machines, an all in one weights bench and a set of light dumbbells) the Jacuzzi/Spa area is great. The stunning ambience and lighting makes this spa one to visit during your stay. Note: Sometimes the Jacuzzi is switched off but within minutes of a call to reception an engineer was down to turn everything on for us.

The Hotel bar with outdoor white leather seating is perfect for sipping cocktails whilst watching passers by play with the interactive fountain nearby. The restaurant LaPlaza is Michelin standard at a fraction of the cost. Basically, If you visit Budapest – you need to stay at this hotel! 5* Hotel at a 3* Price!

This hotel is in a small-ish side comparing to other hotels in the vicinity.
The room is a bit oddly decorated, unless if you like big splashes of red color amidst the silvery white tones.
I am staying at their big executive room and they don't even have a bath tub in the bathroom.
The staff though, are attractive, very helpful and friendly.
The location is very centralize that is right next to a beautiful park, seven minutes walk to the popular park filled with young hip crowd and twelve minutes walk to the main square filled with high end, expensive shops and overpriced restaurants that open late into the night.
The closest subway is 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
If you enjoy a night life and would like to walk to some of the hot spot bars, this is the place to stay in budapest.
The room is, amid facing the street, is very quiet and the bed is very comfortable to sleep in.

This hotel is by far the best we have ever stayed in. It definitely lives up to the 5 star rating. Rooms were luxurious, spacious and modern. This hotel is located on the Pest (pronounced Peshhhhhht apparently) side which is only a short walk to Chain Bridge and Buda. Bar and restraunt staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent. The fitness and spa facilities were perfect for a relaxing night.

Room Tip: Any room is excellent!
