The restaurant in the Fisherman's bastion is a great place, if you want to impress foreigners coming to town. The setting of the restaurant is such that in the evening people's jaw's will drop. Ask for one of the tables in the different alcoves surrounded by windows and you will have stunning views of the Danube, the Parliament, the Cathedral and Pest at large.
And then there is the interior: a castle like set-up with amazing crystal chandeliers which would make a French king envious.
The service is very good and friendly and the food is very good, with a strong Hungarian stamp, yet not as heavy.
There is also music. I prefer it when it is only the cymbals and they do not go around from table to table, but that is a matter of taste. Sundays it is the way that I like it :-)
Even if prices are relatively high, it is worth it, as this may be the restaurant with the most stunning views in Budapest
