“Amazing atmosphere, reasonable prices”
Reviewed March 10, 2014 via mobile

The chocolate desserts are heavenly, service very good, prices very reasonable. The atmosphere is beautiful, with the vaulted ceiling and murals. It is like taking a trip through time with the neo-Renaissance interior.

“Great location but watch out!!!!”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

We went into the bookshop en found out about the Bookcafé! What a great location. So we wanted to drink a beer. The waiter asked us if we would like a shot (Palinka). So we did. When we had to pay the shots were 2200 forint each (more than 7 euro). If the waiter had to sell this he did his job well but if that is the way to treat customers??? I don't know.

We never go back there!

“A beautiful room behind a book store.”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

It is a little bit funny, maybe the modern architectures joke that, you never would thought you can find a so nice ballroom behind a modern meaningless book store. Maybe I'm not right about the meaningless, cause the book store has a wine store in the right side as you enter from the street. Wine and books? What? But ok, why not.

The cafe behind all of these is a very unique place. A real great ambiance, with a good coffeehouse selection of sweets, and drinks. Very nice experience and very good value for the money.
If you get the proper time, you can enjoy the play of a bar pianist.
Great!

“absolutely lovely”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

I was taken there by a Budapestian. Entering the book store I didnt know what to expect. But once you enter - it just gets you. I felt like in smaller version of NYC library. Amazing.
The coffee and cakes are a good quality but this place is definitely more about the unique atmosphere.
The must...
