Gold mirrors and frescos, lovely stunning place to have coffee, cheese toasties, fabulous cakes and big choice of wonderful hot chocolates. The orange and cinnamon very nice! Good service, you may have to wait in line awhile though. The bathroom is downstairs in a lift and you need a ticket from the waiters to get in. The book shop is huge with a reasonable foreign(English) section.

Fantastic place to grab coffee and home made cake. Hidden at the back of a book shop, its quite easy to miss this spot. Once inside you will be treated to wall and ceiling murals, Live Piano and friendly staff.

A great place to relax and recharge for an hour inbetween sight seeing.

We were wandering around the shopping street and checking where are the places worthwhile going and picked this bookstore. First stepping into the bookstore I didn't find it special, it's just a normal book store with Hungarian books. When we went upstair, walking into this cafe, we were surprised and stunned by its beauty.
We quickly grabbed a seat here, ordered some hot chocolates and cakes to warm ourselves. Great atmosphere. Someone was playing the piano here, it was special to happen in a cafe. Cake wasn't the best, I quite like the hot chocolate here though. But for the settings, it's already worth sitting here for an hour or two!

Situated on the top floor of a huge bookstore on the elegant Andrassy street, this cafe is a must visit in Budapest. The entire hall with very high ceilings is covered in gold mirrors and frescos. It is stunning. You'll just sit there, sip your coffe and literally stare at the walls.
The pastries and the coffee were really good. Try the chestnut puree with whipcream (gesztenyepuré) - it is absolutely delicious.
Too bad for the unfriendly waiters.

The place is very clean, with nice atmosphere, the food is simple but very tasty, the service is great and the prices are reasonable.
Free wifi, nice and clean toilet.
If you can read hungarian there are also books to read or buy.
