I would rank Borkonyha Winekitchen in the top three restaurants in Europe. The Fois Gras appetizer was perfectly seared with a well-balanced puree of fresh pea and the Guiney Hen was tender with just the right amount of seasoning. Our main course Chicken rivaled that of Marcel’s restaurant in Washington. D.C., tender and rolled in a transparent, unassuming wrap of bacon. The wines were pleasant with appropriate selections made at the recommendation of our sommelier. The service was precise, attentive and knowledgeable which made us feel unrushed, making for an enjoyable dinner in Budapest. Michelin should consider adding another star!
