Best cakes in town that we tried! (And we tried a few!) Seriously needs to be higher on TA. The cakes look and taste wonderful and the patisserie has a great atmosphere in a good location- really well kitted out. We also had a panini which was delicious too! Really recommend- much better than another which is quite high on TA reviews and way over rated! Want to come back just for these cakes!

It is very hard to find the right place for cakes and coffee in Budapest. There is always something, which makes any place weak: tasteless cakes or high prices, little menu options or bad atmosphere, faraway area or too touristic...

However, this place has a good balance of everything: big variety of good cakes, not too touristic with decent atmosphere and good prices.

We (a couple) already had a chance to taste almost all cakes in this coffee shop. Our favorites that we recommend you are: Cottage Cheese Cake and Berry Cheese Cake. Each of them will not cost more than 1,5 euro. Among hot drinks we would recommend Hot White Chocolate (~2 euros) and Viennese Cappuccino (~1,5 euros).

There is also a very cute bar-type of a table facing the only window in this place, so make sure to capture it before someone else will do it.

Apart from the great coffee and pastry breakfast which fortified us for several hours at the market, worth mentioning are the very personable staff and spotlessly clean ladies room.

We just happened to poke our heads in to this little place, and were captivated by the amazing display of goodies. When we eventually went back to sample them, they were just as good as imagined. We had the Mozart ball, Rum/Coconut ball, Marzipan slice/cake, and Hungarian speciality. All of these were superb - smooth, creamy, and satisfying. The portion sizes are generous, and the price is very good value. Highly recommended!

We were so happy to have discovered this great cafe by chance this morning. The decor is so welcoming and the staff were very charming. The coffee, cakes and ice-cream were so good .We returned late afternoon for ice-cream again.
