My 18-year-old daughter and I decided to take a side trip to Budapest during a recent stay in Austria, and with only 30 hours in the city, we wanted to really maximize our time. András did a fantastic job customizing our day, which included touring around in a Trabant in the morning, lunching at his parents' house, and spending the afternoon visiting a winery in the countryside outside of the city. He was very professional and prompt in his e-mail communications prior to our arrival, suggesting that we might prefer the winery visit when he learned we are students of wine. We loved riding in the very cool Trabant and found Balázs, the owner/driver, really delightful company. It was a treat to be able to get out and walk around at our various stops in Buda and Pest and not have to worry about parking! We got kind of attached to that little car and were sad to see it drive off when that part of our tour was over. Lunch with András's mom and dad was not only really delicious, but the experience satisfied that part of us that loves to get past being tourists and see how people really live. They were so sweet and welcoming! We left feeling we had made new friends despite the language barrier (András was great at translating for us - it was never awkward). We could tell his parents genuinely enjoy meeting and feeding András's guests. Our trip out to Etyek to visit the Hernyák winery was of particular interest to us, as we got to see the Hungarian countryside and taste Hungarian wines with the winemaker. The meat and cheese plate we were served there was a tasty ending to our day. As András drove us back to Budapest to the train station, we asked him to help with our Hungarian wine pronunciation. Now that's a video! András is a warm, open, flexible, knowledgeable, interested and interesting guide with a fun sense of humor - a super companion for the day. We were very well taken care of, and will definitely tour with him again the next time we are able to get to Budapest!

We had two days in Budapest, first day we had planned to spend with Andras. Andras took us to all major sights and hidden sites in Budapest. We had a great lunch at his parents house. His mum prepared a excellent hungarian dishes. It was a personal touch to the tour. We would certainly recommend Andras as a excellent tour guide. We thank him and his family to make the trip a very memorable one.

We just toured with András on Sunday and had a great time. He was very communicative over email when we were arranging the date of our excursion and what we wanted to do. The tour is really as advertised, customized and personalized.

We started the day off with the Hidden Treasures tour. Got to see part of the old ghetto wall, an old aristocratic home and even walked around on the buda side. Some of the hidden treasures were unfortunately not available to us because of the weather but András did a great job of improvising.

Then we stopped for lunch with his lovely parents! His mom made the BEST hungarian goulash as one of our courses! So glad she made it for us as I would have left Budapest without having tasted the best goulash in town! His dad is super sweet! Overall I have to say having lunch with them was one of my favourite experiences on the tour.

We then went to a small winery a few minutes out side of the city and met a really lovely family and tasted many good wines. Again, it was a very small winery but the quality of the wine was really quite good! And because they are so small something you would not have access to outside of Budapest. Really it would have been a missed experienced had we not added the wine package to the tour.

Overall the day was well spent getting to know Budapest like a local! Also loved getting a little bit outside of the city and seeing one of the smaller towns where the winery was.

Thank you so much to Andras! You honestly made our trip. Thank you for accommodating us on a Sunday as well!

We will definitely come to see you again when we are back in your lovely country!

I would really recommend this company. They are very personal and dynamic. The places were interesting, special and not boring at all. If you would like to have something that is not usual try out this company.

We only had a day in Budapest, but Andras planned an ambitious combination of the major sights(in a Trabant, actually in two Trabants) and hidden Budapest, plus a lunch. Everything was flawless. Our main guide was Attila, and our drivers, Balazc(the cars owner) and Josef. We laughed, we learned, we feasted and we want to spend more time in this beautiful city with these wonderful people!
