Pros: Steps from metro station. Easy to find. Nice courtyard. Friendly reception staff. Clean sheets and bathroom. HUGE closet space that is almost the size of another room.

Cons: Dodgy area at night with no restaurant options. No wifi in room, but will give you a LAN cable. Breakfast buffet was mediocre. One small elevator to serve whole building - not very efficient.

We stay there for one week. During that time they manage to clean our room twice even i we told them the bed was dirty when we arrived.
They have no air condition, even the information told that they would have, so the room was unpleasent hot and almost impossible to sleep.
The room was still rebuilding area with holes in floor and open pipes.
The staff talk bad english and have no service mind at all. They still behave like in old Russian.

When I booked SIlver Hotel Budapest the price was really good.

The rooms are spacious, and the hotel have been recently refurnished. I book a room with panoramic view, but the photos showed in the site are not from the where I stay.

The breakfast is basic, but quality of the itens is very good.

The only remark is that they take a lot of time to fit your room.

Easy to enter the building, if you know someone, who lives there, since the first 3 floors are regular apartments. While we stayed there, the hotel room next to us was burglarized. The hotel is not in a safe area of the city. Do not walk alone on the street at night.

I stayed here at the beginning of September. You need to press 1 on the entryphone to get in (new guests had problems with this, as he entrance isn't immediately obvious).
Rooms are very comfortable and clean, although I personally found the bed a little hard for my liking, and unlocking the doors can sometimes be problematic due to the secure lock mechanism. I spoke to reception about this, so I hope it's been sorted. If not, make sure they explain in detail how to unlock them. My room did look unfinished, as an electrical socket was stil missing, and there was piping and wiring coming out of the wall at one point (high up, so not a problem, but cosmetically unpleasing).
The breakfasts are adequate at best - tea/coffee, bread, eggs, cheap frankfurters, ham , cheese, egs and yogurts every day. A bit of variety would be nice!
Transport links are excellent - the metro is 2 minutes away, and Pest city centre and Heroes Square are a 15-20 minute walk (in opposite directions) at most.
Reception is open 24 hours a day - multitilingual and always extremely helpful. Make sure you get a magnetic token from them when going out. This gets you back in without having to beep reception.
All in all, a very pleasant stay
