Our first meal in Budapest was lunch in the garden, and we enjoyed our last lunch in the city there, and sat inside only because it was raining. Good traditional Hungarian dishes, as well as pastas and other items, without fanfare. Restaurant and bar were clean and quaintly decorated. We really liked the staff, including the manager who loaned us his umbrella to walk back to our hotel in the rain. Worth a visit, especially to dine in the garden on a pleasant summer evening!

Had a great meal here and was impressed with the standard of food and service. The courtyard at the back of the building was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Took a friend and his wife and another couple to celebrate a birthday.

Cafe Intenzo is a good solid comfortable place to enjoy a low key meal nothing fancy but solid and well done. Its menu is a mix of different food options ranging from burgers to pasta to seafood and some staple Hungarian dishes and offerings. The service is very attentive without being overbearing and our server did all she could to make sure our meal was pleasant and enjoyable. The outdoor dining area is a fabulous location on a nice summer eve offering a real warm welcoming spot to enjoy friends and a good meal.

Our meals were all well prepared and the portions were large and plentiful from the freshest of ingredients. I started with goulash and it was a bit bland and not very well spiced but still ok with the addition of some self seasoning with the available pepper added the chocolate cake for dessert was a bit dry as if it was perhaps not made that day. Perhaps the biggest surprise was I opted to go with their gourmet burger and Budapest a town not really know for burgers this was one of the better ones I have ever had in the city. While nothing really made anyone go WOW as I said all our dishes were still well done and presented nicely. The wine offerings are good and solid and overall the restaurant is very well priced and affordable for all budgets and tastes.

If you are in the area and are looking for a nice place for a meal you could do a lot worse than Cafe Intenzo definitely worthy of a stop and taste.

We went here for food at around 9pm on our first night in Budapest. The waitress was super helpful offering to answer any questions we had about the food. We enjoyed the Hungarian pork dish, the mussels in Belgian beer. The pasta with tomato and mozzarella was a little bland and could have benefited from some herbs being added but the spaghetti was lovely.

The drinks were good. We finished of with a palinka each. Can recommend the apricot flavor.

Would deffo go back here again. Two drinks and a main worked out at £10 per person.
