We visited Karoly Etterem on September 2, 2016 and had the most incredible experience considering the food and service! Not to mention the location and ambiance! Beautiful restaurant and great food! Excellent service! We'll be back for sure next year!

Away from the busy streets full of tourists, Karolyi is a tranquil restaurant found down a short path near the Literature Museum. The menu is defined and the food is fantastic quality and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and accommodating, doing a great job at making your dining experience enjoyable. The piano player creates a majestic atmosphere that soundtracks your evening perfectly. We had 2 entrees, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 2 beers and sparkling water and the bill came to 16400 HUF including service charge. Well worth money, we will be visiting again.

Let it be a business launch or a family gathering, Karolyi is a perfect place to go. Try the white wine of the house (Bogyay), it is excellent!!

We had an enjoyable visit a Karolyi. On a friday night with busy streets everywhere, Karolyi offered a peaceful haven. We were well received and well served during pur stay. The piano player served peaceful tunes in the background. However, we did find the food a little bit in lack of pleasant surprises. We had dofferent starters, main courses and desserts, none of which raised eyebrows. A little too plain. All in all, a good experiene but it missed some memorable aspects in the cuisine.

I read about this restaurant in my Budapest guide. It is easy to find if you go through the main entrance of the Literature Museum. the restaurant is in the courtyard at the back. We had a delicious meal, beautifully presented and at a reasonable price. It was our favourite restaurant during our four day stay.
