I read about this restaurant in my Budapest guide. It is easy to find if you go through the main entrance of the Literature Museum. the restaurant is in the courtyard at the back. We had a delicious meal, beautifully presented and at a reasonable price. It was our favourite restaurant during our four day stay.

My favorite restaurant in Budapest...so good that we visited three times during our stay! It is a neat and secluded place that will allow you to leave the street cafes and all the crowds, and just sit in a very private courtyard and enjoy drinks and a delectable meal. Potentially hard to find because you must go through a driveway entrance in a large building. Once you go down this drive of perhaps 10+ yards, look to your left and you will see the restaurant. The price of the place is very reasonable, particularly in light of some of the generic street cafes, and I guarantee you that the quality, presentation of food, and service will be better.

We had some of the most memorable food of our visit at this place. Full bar allows for a chance to have before-dinner drinks and wind down from the hectic pace of the street. This is the place to get some traditional food, as well as other dishes. Everything that we had was a delicious delight, including a very nice dessert selection.

We had the same waiter on two of our three visits. He proved to be a wonderful fellow, really helpful, really attentive, though never smothering; yet, if you needed him he was always there.

The combination of atmosphere, solitude, excellent food, and attentive service makes this a special place. I could not recommend it more highly. When we return to Budapest, this is the first place that we will go to eat!

Pleasant service and good food in a really nice premise. As the night fell, live piano music made the atmosphere that more romantic.

The restaurant was a bit hard to find.

We found this restaurant by accident and came back the next day, because we liked it very much! The food was great and they have a small, but excellent variety of wines. We had a Rosé Wine, which was served chilled and was going perfect with our meal. We had meat dishes on the first visit and Vegetarian and Fish on the second - everything was great!

The food and waiter were great, but we were forced to eat inside on a very hot night because of a concert in the garden. So check out what is happening ahead of time. I would really like to give this restaurant a 4 1/2.

The waiter was helpful and we all enjoyed our food. There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. And I thought the value and quality of our meal was better than some more expensive places. The rose duck breastfeeding with nectarines and Czech pancakes was outstanding. Also tried cold strawberry soup with a scoop of ice cream!

It is well worth a visit. We will go back the next time we are in Budapest.
