The food and waiter were great, but we were forced to eat inside on a very hot night because of a concert in the garden. So check out what is happening ahead of time. I would really like to give this restaurant a 4 1/2.

The waiter was helpful and we all enjoyed our food. There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. And I thought the value and quality of our meal was better than some more expensive places. The rose duck breastfeeding with nectarines and Czech pancakes was outstanding. Also tried cold strawberry soup with a scoop of ice cream!

It is well worth a visit. We will go back the next time we are in Budapest.

Another year and another memorable meal at Karolyi- delightful spot tucked intothe courtyard of the literary museum. It is quiet and elegant, reasonably priced and autherntically Hungarian. You can't go wrong here. The outside seatig is delightful in the courtyard. Inside is beautifully reminiscent of another time when there was class in the world of eating out.

We choose this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and proximity to our hotel. It's a beautiful quiet place with live piano. We had cream paprika soup and for a second course I chose the foie gras and my front choose a goulash in a potato pancake. The food was delicious. We paired our main courses with a glass of local Cabernet Sauvignon and that was perfect. We finished the evening with raspberry cheesecake and courage cheesecake.
The service was impeccable.

Very nice Hungarian food and drinks. Live piano music and very pleasant staff. A bit difficult to find the first time, but we definitely tried it a second time.

Everything here is perfection! Thank you :) the food is sooooo delish! Perfectly made, there is nothing I can complain about.
