This hotel was in the best area for sightseeing, restaurants, bars and shopping and was only 1 block from the danube. We asked for high floor to minimise noise and we heard nothing. The room and bathroom was modern and comfortable. the bed was large and comfy and bathroom clean with great shower. We asked the hotel to arrange airport transfer which made it easier although a little more expensive, particularly as we had an evening flight back so we knew our bags/passports were safe in the hotel and the taxi arranged. The breakfast was a disappointment, mainly salad with frankfurter sausages and scrambled egg which was nice and fried eggs which were like cold rubber bullets, but the english were in the minority and it did cater for all nationalities. The coffee was terrible, when it worked it was black and even too strong to add cold milk, luckily we took a kettle and coffee sachets which i would recommend. The room did have a coffee machine but only made expresso. We went early november but the bar closed at 9.00pm one night and shut for the winter from then i think. The hotel arranged our tickets for the tour bus/danube cruise which was a good idea for the first day to get our bearings. We did "hop off" at the city park for an hour which was lovely and it was an easy walk to the chain bridge for the funicular. The best street for bars/restaurants in this area was raday utca and we ate in the market restaurant upstairs for authentic hungarian goulash. Because this was the main tourist street, the bars and shops were slightly more expensive but i would definately stay in this area and at this hotel again.

Room Tip: High floor and you can get a river view from the side rooms , which arealso quieter. e.g. 404 and 40...

This hotel is ideally located to explore Budapest.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms.

The food at breakfast was fine - standard continental breakfast fare - but the drinks were horrible. The orange juice was the most horrible orange colour and certainly didn't taste of orange. The apple juice was seriously watered down and the coffee undrinkable. This is a minor issue as there are loads of good coffee shops around.

We recently stayed for a 3 night stay at this hotel. The reception area is extremely small in a narrow corridor and only has 3 available seats, and there is no residents lounge area so staying around the hotel is not an option. The hotel is located just off the main shopping area where there are lots of bars and restaurants. However as other revewers have said these are expensive and of poor quality. Much better to head over to Raday Utca (about 10 mins walk) where there is much better choice. Especially can recommend Trattoria where all 4 of us enjoyed an excellent meal. We found on the same street as the hotel entrance a small bar Havas Rom Pub. This was really good value for drinks, half the cost of the Vatci Utca bars and it is frequented by locals. The hotel rooms are OK, clean and functional. We had fresh towels daily as we left dirty ones on the floor. Did not get replacement soap however. Overall this hotel does what it says on the can and is an excellent location for touring this fabulous city.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 1st floor and it was fine.

The hotel has a very good position. Staff organized our transfer from the airport to the hotel and back but when we arrived there we realized that they do not know english very well and they have not been helpful at all... Breakfast was nothing special (poor).. The room was small but very clean and lovely. Since we stayed during the winter period heating was also very good.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Cosmo, have been relocated there from our original hotel, due to a water pipe breakage. The Cosmo was a short distance away and possibly more conveniently situated. The rooms were comfortable if not large and the bed was ok. Our towels were not chnaged in the 3 dys we were there, and it was not clear if we should have left them on the floor, as is normal practice in hotels. Breakfast was typically continental, but the warm food, eggs etc was tepid at best. The coffee machine was very slow and did not produce the best coffee I've ever tasted, far from it. However, everything else was plentiful.

The reception staff were always helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good central location. One good thing about the hotel is that is has a no smoking policy throughout.

Room Tip: I don't think any rooms have an advantage.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in July & had no problems at all, within walking distance to all attractions, about 10 mins walk to the main bars & restaurants, the ones close by to hotel are poor quality & will try their upmost to get you in there. Wifi in hotel which worked perfectly & also a safe in room which helped. Breakfast was plentiful in the morning, would stay there again if we came back to Budapest

Stayed here for 4 nights. Room was modern and clean. Good location, restaurants and shopping nearby. Metrostation was also closeby. Staff was helpfull ja friendly. We got asked to prepay our stay at hotel but that didn't bother us because everything was what we expected it to be. Breakfast was ok. Only complaint was that there were no soundproofing at all. We could hear every word that our neighbours said. That was problem especially at night. Good priced hotel.
