“International & local”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

A mixed programme of international "names", Hungarian favourites and "rising stars".

Venue has character, set in an old house.

Very reasonably priced drinks.

“Good place for Jazz lovers”
Reviewed November 29, 2011

In fact it is called "Budapest Jazz Club" and don't mistake with the "JazzGarden club" that doesn't exist anymore(closed when we stayed). As described in previous reviews, bar at first stairs but during the performance, the bar upstairs is also open and you have some tables at the feet of the stage where you can taste a good glass of wine as you listen the performance. When we went there we had the opportunity to listen a group composed of four with a very performant pianist, a transverse flute, drums and bass guitar, a great moment and they din't care about the time it lasted.
Prices very accessible, cheap. If you order a glass of wine don't forget to ask for a small glass if you don't want a double volume

“Serious jazz”
Reviewed September 11, 2011

I found this place excellent as I'm a big fan of good jazz, but my girlfriend wasn't nearly as impressed. It's more of a concert hall than what you would expect from a jazz club, with the bar downstairs and the performances upstairs.

The cocktails were good, and all drinks were very reasonably priced. And for only about £3-4 cover fee, really really cheap. Plus, we turned up late so they let us in for £2!

If you like jazz, be sure to give this place a go.

“So nice & No Smoke”
Reviewed October 23, 2010

The tiny bar area downstairs allows smoking but the main performance and bar areas upstairs are a smoke free zone. Mix in some nice music and you have got the makings of a real fine Jazz club! Easy to get to, just take the M3 line to Kalvin ter. You can walk if you happen to be near the southern end of the Vaci ut near the Vamhaz
