“Great location and value”
Reviewed December 11, 2011

A friend and I were staying in Budapest for several days thus opted for the apartment versus a hotel. While it's tucked away on a small street, the apartment is conveniently located, very clean, and its nicely furnished.

When I arrived in Budapest, my luggage didn't make the flight and our hostess was kind enough to call the airlines to ensure my bag made it to the apartment. Extremely helpful given that I don't speak any Hungarian!

The apartments are a good value and it helped make our stay in Budapest very pleasant.

We found this apartment on the internet, booked it direct with the owners and were delighted with our choice. It's in a modern block with 24 hour security, very quiet and perfectly placed in the heart of the old Jewish Qauarter within easy reach of all the tourist attractions but away from the crowds. Everything you might want is almost on your doorstep: lots of lively local bars and restaurants including the famous Szimpla bar right opposite. Prices in these places are very cheap; expect to pay about £1/1.50 for a pint of beer or large glass of wine. Almost all the restaurants in Budapestdo Napi menus at lunchtime for about £2/3 for a two/three course meal so ideal if you're on a budget. The Troffa restaurant (all you can eat and drink for about £15) is also conveniently placed about five minutes walk away. There is a great Thai restauant a few doors down from the apartment where you can get wonderful, freshly cooked Thai food in large quantities for less than £5 a head. There's a little mini market at one end of the street and a Tesco Express and Spar store the other. The apartment itself was spacious and well-equipped with everything you could want. The furnishings were stylish and contemporary with loads of storage space. The kitchen had a cooker, microwave and all the cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils you might need, but we ate out all the time. The bathroom was modern and very clean with a bath and shower plus a washing machine. Towels, soap, hairdryer, iron and ironing board were all rpovided and the towels were changed every 2/3 days. All in all we couldn't have asked for more. The owners were very helpful and keen to promote Budapest. It's a lovely city with lots to see but do take time to just wander around and get into the local life. We enjoyed visting some of the beautiful coffee houses and also went to the Opera one night. The highlight of our stay was definately a visit to one of the Thermal baths. Although the temperature in December was below frezzing, we aere able to swim outdoors in these amazing heated thermal pools. It was an experience not to be missed but if you are visting with a partner, do check with the baths before to see if they are mixed or single sex.

Room Tip: If you want it extra quiet, ask for one overlooking the interior courtyard

Enjoyed my stay here. Great place. Lot of space for the money. The service wasn't the best but the rooms and location made up for it. Right across from one of my favorite bars, Szimpla. Close walk to Astoria. The one thing that was lacking was the amount of pots and pans in the kitchen, especially if you plan on cooking. Other than that hard to beat, the price especially.

Very spacious and comfortable with TV, WiFi, DVD player. Rooms are clean and are equipped with mini kitchen with all things needed (microwave, fridge, coffee maker, plates and so on). Quiet surroundings; easy to get Astoria metro station, 15 minutes walk from Váci Utca. Very good value for your money.The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

These apartments are actually a perfect base for exploring Budapest.
Plus:
Location, a few minutes walk from the heart of the city and several subway stations;
It’s equipped with everything, from LCD TV to washing machine and microwave I can hardly think of something missing, just like a normal house.
Clean, new and well maintained;
24 hour entrance guard;
Inner yard with grass, plants and some small trees;
Good value for money;
Average:
I guess it was my bad luck that when I stayed there the street was under complete restoration so it was a bit difficult to park in different places nearby. Normally the apartments have their own garage so this should be very helpful;
Minus;
I stayed in august and there was no air conditioning so it got very hot some days.

Perfect location - amongst restaurants, pubs, shops (24/7) and still quiet, because the apartments are situated behind the inner garden. Clean, cozy, with fully equipped kitchen and even a washing machine. Very close to Vaci, Center and the River. The staff was very friendly and helpful - they even allowed us to leave the cars in the garage at the end of our visit instead of bothering where to find parking spaces. The street itself was under construction on our arrival but the apartments management arranged another garage for the cars (there was no access to their private ones) so they did all their booking duties. Everything was even better then expected. We`ll definitely come back.

Yes, I will still and definitely choose adler apartments next time I visit budapest. It was like sweet home. We stayed on the garden level, the room had a balcony like porch where I could comfortably smoke. The kitchen was excellent, complete with a toaster and coffee machine and microwave and oven and refrigrator, in the toilet there even was a washing machine, a big lcd tv in the living room (only cnn english channel) and excellent internet service, you name it they had it. But we were kind of irritated when asked to pay the total amount as soon as we were shown the room, they also asked a 20 euro key deposit which was not mentioned before, credit card is not accepted which is also a negative side and there was a telephone in the room but no information of how to use it. Its being close to a tesco supermarket and bus station is so comforting. We could walk to andrassy utca or to danube boats in eight-ten minutes. The street its on seems a bit in poor condition but it looked quite safe even in late hours. Remember its not a hotel, its more like home. 24 hrs guarded door also.
