My partner and I visited the hotel for a long weekend on our anniversary in November 2012.

We arrived and were upgraded to a deluxe suite - the suite was lovely and modern, clean and spacious. There was even a fruit basket left for us with compliments on our Anniversary - what a great little touch.

Everything was perfect; the bed was huge and comfortable, the bathroom had a bath and a separate shower and was huge in itself. The rest of the room had a comfortable sofa, writing desk and chair, tv and the bedroom was separated off by 2 closing doors. The rooms were cleaned daily and beds made. We also had free wifi.

The staff were all very well dressed and friendly, it seemed as though the hotel couldn't do enough to help but without being in your face and over the top.

We used the spa facilities during our stay - the jacuzzi was good and the pool was small but very nice as there was the window above looking onto the sky. It would have been great to visit in the summer for the outdoor pool!

We had breakfast included in our booking which was really great, the choice was huge... fruit, pastries, cooked breakfast, cereals, continental breakfast, breads, meats, hot drinks, cold drinks and served until 10.30. My only gripe with this is that it gets VERY busy and we had to wait to be seated, as did others.

The interior of the hotel is beautiful - really stunning. It's tucked away in a quiet street but only 10 min walk from everything you need in the city.

Cannot recommend enough!

Dear Guest,

I really appreciate your detailed review from November. I am happy to hear that we could contribute to the memorable stay with some little touches. You were lucky since we cannot always upgrade guests when on anniversary trip, but it was working in your case luckily. The breakfast room is really busy especially on weekends and around 9:30, thanks to the big choice and varienty and certainly of the quality. In April we could finally open our terrace which is a great help serving lot of guests with breakfast.

Many thanks for your high scores and best regards,

This hotel was really something! Amazing staff! we forgot one of our souveniers in our room, and AFTER week from leaving the hotel I contacted the staff. They informed us that the forgotten souvenier was found and they can send it to us if we cover the shipping. The souvenier was boys Nike t-shirt which was in the plastic bag (they could just say that it has been thrown in the garbage)... It's hard to imagine another hotel where staff is this helpful and honest! When we last stayed at Frankfurt in hotel Savoy and compleined the noise (hammer beat one floor up) before 9 am, the staff just ended the conversation with the words: well the renevation has to be done at some time...

Only appeal was that the rooms indoor air quality was a bit poor.

Hotel was placed perfectly if you consider greate place to eat. All the best restaurants was found from this little streets near this hotel ( example right next to it this Italian place, just turn right from the hotels entrance and it's on the other side of the street.).

Dear Guest,

I am happy to read how much you appreciated that we returned your lost T-shirt after we have found it. For me it is strange to hear that such a normal case is so welcomed and appreciated. I think it must be part of the normal operation. It was good to hear that you liked the neighborhood as well.

Many thanks for your valuable review and best regards,

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was on one of these budget deals. It was the best hotel ever and the best hotel that we have had on a budget deal. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and modern. Had everything we wanted. The spa was great but quite small. Had tea in the tea room. Cakes were exceptional. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant the menu looked interesting. It was perfectly placed to get to the centre of town. We walked everywhere but the metro was near. We didn't have breakfast there as that was not included in the deal and we thought it too expensive - 15 Euros per person.

Room Tip: As our trip was part of a deal our room was opposite another building so there ws no view. If you w...

Dear Guest,

I appreciate your kind words on the staff, on your room and the place. Our hotel belongs to the city hotel category, so our wellness area is the most suitable after a long sightseeing tour. The price of our breakfast means guaranteed quality of food and well worth for the money.

Many thanks for your great review and look forward to welcoming you again.

It's a new hotel in the center of the city, 15 minutes walk from famous chains bridge, 5 minutes walk from underground station. My room was very nice, it was spacious enough, very well equipped and kept perfectly clean. No problems with room temperature. The pool and wellness area are new and very nice as well. Desk personnel was kind and always ready to give informations. The free umbrellas are really a nice touch. Breakfast is rich and very good quality, even if a lot on the "salty" side, while for those who love croissants, bisquits and pastries there's not that much to choose from. The automatic machines for coffee and cappuccino do very well their job, but please consider that in a 4 stars superior hotel like this an automatic machine for coffee/tea at breakfast is not the top choice for european standards. Overall quality-price evaluation: wonderful hotel.

Dear Guest,

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedbacks. I am delighted to hear your satisfaction about the room and the wellness area. Moreover, I am pleased to announce that our outside swimming pool was opened too by now - it would be a great reason to return. I feel deeply sorry that coffee machine did not appeal to you, however, the Dordoni 100% Arabica coffee freshly grounded, we offer for breakfast, was rated prime quality at the independent tasters' evaluation.
Thank you for your constructive remarks - we are trying for continually widen the variety of breakfast.

Well, what can we say to sum up this hotel..... wow, amazing, fantastic, these words just don't do it justice, It was incredible, so good I couldn't wait to write this review.

We booked our trip as we had always wanted to go and see Budapest, it was at an ideal opportunity; early spring, we were child free and could value some time as a couple.

We arrived and were upgraded to a deluxe room for no extra charge and on entering the room we found it spacious, extremely clean and very modern. I loved sitting in the window seat, gazing out. The room was at the perfect temperature and could be controlled ourselves. We had a garden view and looked out over the terrace area which was nice, it was to the middle of the hotel so quiet and sunny. The room itself was quiet, I heard just one door slam in the whole stay which was amazing.

The staff were all very well dressed and friendly, it seemed as though the hotel couldn't do enough to help but without being in your face and over the top. A bottle of red wine was left in our room from the manager who came to greet us at breakfast on our first day, this was lovely, it immediately helped us gage that if the manager had time and was willing to do this that it would reflect in the running of the hotel and staff mentality, we felt this throughout our stay, everyone was happy and looked like they enjoyed working there.

We used a few of the hotels services, concierge to book trips, reception to book taxis and the beauty room for a massage, all of which were efficient and again helpful.

We had breakfast included in our booking which was mind blowing, the choice was huge... fruit, pastries, cooked breakfast, cereals, continental breakfast, breads, meats, hot drinks, cold drinks and served until 10.30, so there was no horrible need to get up early, the breakfast was all you could eat which set us up everyday for our sightseeing.

The building is stunning, be sure to read the history of the hotel on their site before you go, check out the before and after shots, it has been beautifully restored from an old bath house and the developers deserve credit for what has been achieved, the use of glass, stone and marble complement each other well.

The rooms were cleaned daily and beds made, the bed in our room was large with individual duvets, which was great when you share a bed with a duvet hogger, lol. There is a TV but we turned this on once in our 5 days as we didn't need it.

During our stay there was a business seminar everyday but there was no noise and everyone was considerate to the hotel guests who were staying.

On arrival we were offered the use of the internet in the main lobby area and the printer for free, however we took the ipad to use for planning our days out, the wifi was good, no problems at all, fast and easy to initially connect. Reading through the welcome booklet in the room there were plenty of other helpful suggestions should you need them.... the use of mobile phone charges and little things you may have forgotten. we were surpirsed at what the hotel had thought of.

Overall this hotel is fantastic, close to every thing you would want to see, tucked away so not on a busy noisy main road and a pleasure to be associated with.

First impressions on booking is that you are dealing with an extremely efficient and welcoming hotel. Good start!

On arrival from the airport via the hotels partner taxi company booking in was handled with minimum of fuss while we took in the impressive entrance foyer.

Room was decorated in the same classy hotel theme and although, without a bath, perfectly adequate (we prefer showers).

Location on a quiet street but centrally located was good.

Breakfasts had a good choice, hot, cold, fruits, breads and cheeses. Busy around 9am (peak time I suppose) and not many tables free.

Ate in the hotel's restaurant first night and enjoyed a really nice meal with friendly service.

We took 2 different guide books which between them had lists of the best restaurants. Don't bother, use the list supplied by the hotel, some of which were not even in the books or on trip advisor but were without exception excellent Hungarian eating establishments. Highly recommend the one located in the fishermans bastion, the location high over the city and drama of eating excellent food in a castle was memorable.

Will be recommending the Zara continental.

Dear Guest,

Thanks a lot for your great review. I was delighted to hear your smooth arrival and how much you liked the room and the breakfast, in spite of the peak time at 9 am. I would like to let you know by opening of our terrace thnaks to the nice weather we can welcome more guests for breakfast at the same time.
I was happy to hear that the restaurant recommendations of our Concierge were at your satisfaction including such restaurants which were not even on your list.
We opened the rooftop outside swimming pool too, so these are good reasons for spending a similar holiday with us in the near future.

We stayed this hotel for only one night, after late night flight. The hotel staff was smiling from the moment they saw us, and served with good english skills. There was a live pianist player on the main hall. Only thing that bothered me was that I knew we're staying there only for one night ;) We didn't have a chance/time to try the spa. Maybe next time!

The hotel seemed very quiet around 10 p.m. when we arrived to our room. The room was luxurious and very clean from bed sheets to bathroom. We had a little problem in our bathroom shower, the shower drain was very, very slow. We forgot to report it to the hotel staff, unfortunately. Hotel served shampoo, shower gel and lotion, that smelled better for a manly taste :) The hotel served nice breakfeast, with lots of servants going on and filling the serving buffée all the time. There was a coffee machine for all types of coffees, I enjoyed my cappucino.

Place was very easy to find, and very close to Blaha lujza -metro station. The hotel staff sells single trip metro tickets, if you need those. Night life seemed busy in the next block, lots of young people were standing out. Burger king was just about around the corner, Tesco in the next block. But the hotel itself was VERY quiet, and we had a good night sleep.
Like all the hotels in Budapest, they will charge you the city tax. We didn't know that this wasn't included to the price, but it was only few hundred forints. Unpleasent surprise, but nothing too big :)

Dear Guest,

It is really a pity that you stayed one night only and missed a lot of services, like the spa, the Gallery Cafe or our Araz Restaurant. Maybe next time, as you pointed out. The only service you had chance to enjoy - apart from the room - is our breakfast, and I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed it very much.

Many thanks for descibing the neighbourhood in therm of traffic and shopping in the name of the readers of Tripadvisor.
