We took the walking tour of Pest and Buda with Kate in late December. Her English is excellent and she was able to communicate a lot of interesting perspectives on the history of Hungary and the city. She has a fun sense of humour and was very warm and engaging. The route was planned thoughtfully with some time out of the cold (!) and we got a great coverage of the major sights. We went back to a number of them...especially the strudel shop! Thanks Kate, you set a high benchmark for future tour guides!

Took the Buda + Pest Tour in the morning then the Communism Tour in the afternoon. Both guides, Orsi and Viki, were excellent. They clearly knew their subjects and kept us entertained, checking we were okay in the freezing cold and chatting and involving everyone along the way. I found out a lot about Hungary and Budapest through these tours and highly recommend them to anyone else visiting

We took the Buda+Pest tour with Kate, she was awesome. She speaks great English and is super friendly and enthusiastic. Kate made an effort to chat with whoever was nearest her on the walks between stops, and did a great job of trying to include everyone. The tour was also very informative and made me want to learn even more about the history of Budapest and Hungary. We did the Pest tour a few days later and Kate remembered us from the other tour. For the Pest tour we had a different guide. She was lovely and knew a lot of information, but she was a bit shy, and seemed reluctant to talk about some of the darker aspects of the tour (not people questioning her, but she would start to talk and then trail off).

Only having two days in Budapest, i took the Buda+Pest tour one day and the Pest Tour on the other. Great tours, covers a lot of the Budapest essential places and gives a historical background to the visit. Depends greatly on the guide you get, one was a younger lady with good english and very good at talking in public, the other was a bit older lady with basic english and a bit shy. Both knew the history of budapest very well.
