We just stumbled on this place about 12:30 pm after visiting the Central Market. We only wanted coffee and something sweet, but when the wonderfully presented desserts arrived I realized that we were somewhere special and started ordering food. Even though we were not really looking for a meal, I’m glad I ate. The goulash soup was delightful, as was the brown bread that accompanied it. The duck burger was exceptional: a hefty patty of ground duck, cheese, a strip of crispy bacon, and a thick slice of sautéed duck liver, topped with cucumber, tomato and lettuce. It was just lunch, but it was the best meal I’ve had in three and a half weeks in Europe. My wife and the staff were a little puzzled by “this order dessert first eating” adventure, but I was happy.
