The position of the hostel is great, to say the least: Oktogon Square is one of the most nevralgic spots in Pest, and you got many interesting places nearby. On the other hand, the hostel's dirty and quite disorganized, with two out of four showers out of order and overheated rooms. You may even be unlucky as I was and have to sleep in a bed lying against a radiator working 24/7 and delivering 22 to 25 °C inside the room, but don't worry: you'll be answered there's no way in the world you can possibily close the radiator, but you can sleep in a spare bed with a super dirty mattress and get a 700 forints discount, which is about 2€, 2.5$ or a beer. Very nice position, but the rest is quite a mess. I've heard some people saying the Adagio Hostel is the place to be if you happen to visit Budapest: I'm sorry, but I disagree.

This hostel was one of the things that made my trip to Budapest one of my favourites! Really nice, cosy, clean and nicely decorated place to stay during your trip! The place made a huge impression on me, but even bigger positive surprise was the really helpful and nice staff! They took really good care of our group and helped even more than they were supposed to. I'm really thankful for the whole staff of the hostel. I can absolutely highly recommend this place for everyone who goes to Budapest! When I come back to the city, I will for sure take a room from this hostel!

Main attractions are walking distance away and staff are friendly and helpful! However it is incredibly noisy at night! We had the double private room right next to the reception and the noise was ridiculous, it was like a full scale party going on way past the "quite time" of 11pm! In the morning the toilets were horrendous, vomit everywhere!

From the bedroom you would not think you were in the middle of a big city, but you were really central to all of the main tourist attractions (yet had to take public transport to get to train station.) Really funky individual rooms, very light, spacious private room. Lots of different types of rooms to suit all different needs. A large living area where you could make lots of friends, chill, drink and eat. Lots of clean bathroom facilities. Budapest is a fab city, definitely try the Fishermans Bastille, Bascillica, Spas and Citadel and for great nights out Instinct and Zsimpla.

Nice little hostel located a minutes walk from Oktogon metro.
A bit hard to find as very little signage - but this turned out to be common in Budapest.
Clean and free wifi.
The only thing that let it down was the staff - all terrible with the exception of Denis.
When we checked out our friend was not given her passport back and ha to travel back across the city to fetch.

The thing that I will remember most about this hostel is the fact that they changed their address without notifying me. When I booked, I received the address of the hostel but upon arrival it turned out that there was no hostel at that address. I arrived there at 10PM and luckily someone opened the door who was very helpfull. He called the hostel (I couldn't call myself, because my phone stopped working during the journey, but that's a different story) and was told that the hostel moved to a different location. I received the new address and walked to the new location, about 15 minutes of walking apart from their previous address. The fact that they changed their address without sending an e-mail before I arrived, I find very very disturbing and is a big downside for the hostel.
I was looking for a cheap place to crash in the city centre of Budapest and this is exactly what I found. The location (their new location is on Andrássy út) near Oktogon square is perfect with both a metrostation and a stop on the busiest tramline available. Furthermore, Andrássy út is most definately the most beautiful street of the city, so it's incredible to sleep there. The rooms were fine. Nothing special, but they were clean and lockers were available. Although it was very crowded at the time that I stayed there, sufficient (clean) showers were always available. The kitchen was well-equiped with everything you need for cooking (except for the food of course) and there were 2 computers with internet (if you plug in your USB stick in one of them, make sure you check it for viruses when you get home). Didn't really like the staff, but they were correct and that was enough for me. Although they are also responsible for the fact that I didn't receive any form of information when they changed their address.
If you're looking for luxury or romance, don't stay here. But they do offer the basics for a very good price.
