“Delightful, relaxing experience”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Four of us enjoyed an hour and a half or so tasting 5 Hungarian wines, followed by a "callback" in which each of us selected one of the 5 for a second taste. The tasting is presented by the proprietor and his wife, and he provides a wealth of information on each wine. The location deep in cellar of the Hilton on Castle Hill (there is a fairly long stairway down) is cozy and has a charming ambiance. There are only 4 or 5 tables, and the presentations are made separately at each table. We proceeded at our own pace, and never felt rushed or pressured. A delightful and very relaxing experience.

“Delightful Experience”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

After reading the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor, we could not pass up what promised to be great fun.
It did not disappoint, the time just flew by. The owners Barbara and Gabor were a true delight and very in sync with each other, Gabor was very knowledgeable and really explained a lot about Hungarian Wine, which we enjoyed tremendously.
It was such a cozy place to spend almost three hours, we recommend to everyone, but make sure and make reservations. They are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
When we return to Budapest we will surely return.

Enter the hilton hotel lobby and follow signs to the Faust Cellar. What a wonderful experience. Great wines presented by delightful passionate couple. A highlight of our four night visit in Budapest

“Best Hungarian wine experience”
Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

Super friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating staff. Check to make sure they are open as it seems hours are not set in stone. Speaking of stone, the cellar itself is a gorgeous relic. Felt like a classy Indiana Jones down there.
