I went on two tours with this company: the general Budapest tour and the Communism tour. The general tour is perfect for those who have just arrived in the city who want to see the main attractions and learn the dos and don'ts of touring Budapest. We learned a lot about the foods and goodies to try, which helped guide the rest of our culinary adventures as well.
As the guide informed us at the start of the communism tour, it was "more of a talking than a walking tour". The two guides on this tour were knowledgeable and offered great anecdotes, both personal and second-jand of what things were like under the communist regimes in Hungary. They also provided an insight into the current political situation in Hungary, which was interesting given that the general elections happen here in early April.
All in all, I'd highly recommend taking a tour or two with this group. They operate based solely on donations, so give what you feel the tour is worth. :-) I felt it was fabulous value.
