I really expected much more from a Eurostars hotel claiming 4 stars. It's central location is a great advantage, but it offers no view. Rooms are way too small and simply furnished. I had issue fixing the shower in the bathroom (the holder was broken). The service was not on the level of a 4*: if you were not busy going around town, you would hardly get some rest, as you will eventually hear someone from the staff shouting "minibar?!" in the afternoon, or "housekeeping" in the morning. The maid even entered in my room as I did not respond (being half asleep). The breakfast is way too simple and offered very limited choice.

I can recommend the Eurostars Budapest Central Hotel for its location, and the comfort of its rooms. The bed was king-size, and very comfortable, and the room had a 24 inch Samsung flat-screen tv. The bathroom and bedroom irtself were thoroughly clean.
The breakfast could have had a little more variety, as being British, I would have welcomed bacon, fried egg and beans, but this was not available. The breakfast was more the continental type.
The location is superb, right in the centre of Budapest and within walking distance of all major attractions.
From the airport (Terminal 2), take the 200E bus to its terminus Kobanya-Kispest. From there, take the blue metro line to Ferenciek-Tiere (may have the spelling incorrect) which is 100 yards from your hotel!

Room Tip: You may want a room facing the interior courtyard, for quietness. The hotel is on a very busy thorou...

I spent 4 days in Eurostars Budapest Hotel. It was wonderful. The location is perfect, everything is easily accessible. I can recommend to take the hop on hop off sightseeing tour to discover all the famous monument of the city. The room was very well designed and beautiful. The breakfast was magnificient with a wide variety of choice. The staff at the reception was always helpful and very professional, speaking English very well (Especially the two guys Tamas and Andras). I think that it would be a five stars hotel if it had a swimming pool.

Centraly located, room quiet, adequate size. However for a 4 star hotel there were some annoying deficiencies, for e.g. tub would not drain adequately while showering, no literature in room advising hotel amenities, room services available, how to use telephone, surrounding area amenities, etc. Air conditioning was anable to achieve set temperature. Two days required to clean up used drinking glases, Front desk was unhelpful in making change to reservation and had to be requested to call Booking.com, unlike other hotels which have volunteered to assist. Some literature indicates that Hungary is somewhat generous in allocation of hotel star classification, perhaps related problems are indicative.

Recently stayed at the Eurostars Budapest Center 21st - 25th September.. This is an excellent hotel in a great location, around 10 minutes walk from the Danube. The hotel is also nearby to some great shopping areas and some lovely restaurants. Everything is fairly walkable but if you would rather use public transport the nearest underground station is about 5 minutes walk away.

The hotel rooms and bathrooms are of a very high standard, complete air con, flat screen tv, minibar and complimentary toiletries. The variety of food at Breakfast is very good and very enjoyable, however towards the weekend many more tourist parties had arrived and the restaurant became quite crowded if you picked the wrong time to have breakfast. The security was very good indeed too. You could not use the lift without your room card to activate it. You had to swipe your card then choose the appropriate floor. My only real gripe about the hotel was that there were only two elevators, and these were used heavily at peak times eg. breakfast, morning tourist rush. A hotel with 9 floors really could do with having four or more elevators, especially if one breaks down!!!

That aside, I absolutely loved this hotel and would happily recommend it to my friend's or anyone else. I am hoping to return next year, and will use the Eurostars again. Thank you for a great stay!!

Room Tip: Higher is better as hotel is on a main road. Although double glazing is excellent, is doesn't st...
