We enjoyed dinner twice at this Bistro on our recent visit to Budapest and were very impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. A different slant on some local dishes and very nicely presented. I had the homemade pasta with lamb ragu which rivaled any Italian restaurant. One night we enjoyed the outside tables, the other night we ate inside and had the chance to listen to their live music. Also a very good selection of Hungarian wines.

At the corner of a pedestrian promenade, both inner and outer tables are intimate. Even seated outside, you don’t feel to be eating “on the street”.
The food is astonishing, we tried starters, meal, seafood and desserts, they were all absolutely excellent! We are Italian and never eat pasta abroad… we tried and also pasta was like in best Italian restaurants!
The grace and courteousness of the waiters is uncommon: they phoned 10 times to different taxi companies to find one for us, then they walked under a downpour to find one and then they offered to drive us to our hotel!
They are one of the few restaurant in Budapest that happily accept dogs.
The bill is a pleasant surprise: from starters to dessert, choosing the most expensive dishes and adding some sommelier suggested wine… 9000 HUF (30 €) each!

We walked by it during the afternoon and decided to visit it at night because of the look of the place. The diner on the terrace was very nice, I loved the Hungarian cuisine. Would recommend the place to anyone.

We booked a table here online before we went to Budapest and they replied advising us they were having a 'wine duel' the night we were there. We weren't quite sure what to expect but were so glad we decided to go!

We had a 5 course meal, with 2 (small) glasses of wine with each course - one Hungarian wine and one international, and we had to guess which one was which, just for fun. Luckily for us, the lady hosting the evening spoke excellent English so she was able to tell us about each wine and she made sure we weren't left wondering what was happening (we were the only English people in the restaurant!).

The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the wine was good too! It was our wedding anniversary that night and, even though the 'wine duel' was going on, we still found it romantic and cosy.

Thanks very much Borsso Bistro for an excellent evening!
