“Perfect place to stay in Budapest”
Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

I rented a double room without bathroom. The room itself was very nice, spacious, nice window on the main street. Everything works perfectly. the room was even equipped with bed sheets and blankets, closet with hangers, and even shower gel. My only complain would be that the mattress was not a good one, as you could feel some springs, but in the end I slept well on it every single night.

This hostel was colourful with a good atmosphere. We stayed in a 10 bed room which was cramped and as it was in the loft it was extremely hot making it difficult to sleep. We were provided with a fan but this was not enough for 10 people. We also had to drag our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. The hostel bar area was great and the evening meals cooked by the French chef were excellent. There was also a paddling pool and some sunbeds around the bar area. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hostel was in an excellent location, not far from the station, the centre of town and shops/bars.

A perfect cheap hostel for younger travellers who don´t need too much luxury. Clean rooms, 24/7 reception, bar & pool, perfect location. The staff is friendly and they all speak English. They will also look for your luggage after check-out.

For someone it could be a bit noisy. The showers need some repair. Not every room has a ventilator.

This was a good hostel packed with young people which gave a very fun, lively atmosphere. The bar and swimming pool area was a great place to meet people. The staff were very helpful and the kitchen facilities were good, although time it right to cook otherwise could get a bit crowded. The hostel was in a good location and provides lots of information about the nightlife/cultural/activities to do. Really enjoyed it!

Good place within walking distance of the city center and public transport. Downside is the sometimes unnecessary noises made in the hostel by what seems to be a dancing school and some soundchecks of the cafe downstairs. Common room can be a bit small when the hostel's full of people and the bar closes quite early. Also, the mattresses are quite thin and uncomfortable. The staff is friendly though and it's overall an inviting and colorful place.

Great place if you are into party hostels! Location is excellent, very close to two metro stations and withing walking distance of all the attractions. Staff was nice and very resourceful. However, be aware that it might be a little too noisy at night. We arrived on a very hot summer weekend. There was no AC, and the little fan in the room did not really work. This was just a minor incovenience though - might not be a big deal during the fall/winter. Cleanliness was ok, but there was one shower that could use a renovation. All in all, good value for the price :)

The hostel is really nice. It is near the center, on walkable distance, which is great. They give you clean sheets and towels for free, which I appreciated a lot, as i didn't have any with me. We have had a nice time there, met many ppl. There is caffee for guests open until 10pm and during hot days you can chill out in the plastic swimming pool. When you check in, you will get a coupon for free welcome drink - palinko (hungarian traditional drink).

However, there are some cons for this hostel. It is situated on second and third floor, which have many many stairs, as it is an old building, so floors are really high. So if you are a girl going with a suitcase, you will have a lot of fun.... Second potential drawback - there is no many bathrooms. I say potential drawback, as although there was 1 bathroom per floor, it was not frequently occupied during our stay. But others, might not be that lucky :)

All in all, i am very satisfied with this hostel and hospitality of the staff. You will not regret staying there
