“Relaxing cafe, great for lunch or just coffee and cake”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Went for coffee and cakes on our first day in Budapest and we were very impressed with the savoury pastries and the cakes. Atmosphere and service is more like a quiet tearooms than a formal restaurant.

We went back for lunch on the last day of our trip and each had a dish from the weekday lunch menu. The portions weren't huge but it was very good food and meant we had room for another cake!

“Nice old time atmosphere”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Though this isn't the best pastry and coffee in Budapest (or even just Buda) the staff mostly speaks English and is friendly for Budapest standards. They even have free wifi which is nice. I think the pastries are prettier than they are tasty here though, better choices if pigging out is your main objective, go here for the atmosphere. They have a nice outdoor area when the weather is nice.

“Best of the best!”

Gabor- King of Kremes- is a deserved title- he is a humble pastry chef and the owners are lovely and strong business women that have created and maintained an amazing multi-generation family patisserie. You have to come here- delicious!

Beautiful cafe near Museum quarter. Great choice of fresh cakes and lovely coffee. All in a wonderful setting. Prices not bad and certainly worth it.

“Classic coffee and cakes”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Our first taste of Budapest. Went in for a quick cup of coffee and tea and had to have a cake or two and some other Hungarian delicacies which I can't remember the name. Good friendly service, delightful pastries and cakes and a nice place to sit and watch the world go by albeit on a busy street, but we were inside.
