“Best dessert I've had in Budapest”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

I've been generally dissapointed with desserts in Budapest, but the guys here really knew their cakes. The place was nearly intimidatingly fancy out front, very quiet inside. We shared three cakes and they all tasted amazing. Their coffee was good too! Definetively a place I want to visit again.

“Fantastic "krémes"”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

I'm local and have an experience in sampling Hungarian delicacies especially in Budapest.
Pastry shops must be chosen upon this "krémes" dessert. Cooking a fine one requires high-quality ingredients such as a qualified staff and at all Auguszt shops these are all fulfilled.
You can taste and see the real vanilla (not aroma) in the cake as there are a lot tiny black seeds in it.
If you're in the down town, don't miss to try it or the E80 cake which is also their invention.

“cake cake cake cake (and coffee)”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

loveliest cakes we had in Budapest. My husband saw this place on Hairy Bikers bake tour programme - try the kremes (vanilla slices) or indeed anything on offer. But we started with beautiful individual quiches too. Don't expect to lose weight, but it's worth it..... Great service We went to the shop on a busy main street so there was plenty of space, but the cafe was beautifully done out with enormous chandelier and decoration.

“Auguszt Pavilon”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

We went to the Auguszt Pavilon near the Farkasréti Cemetery (Sasadi út 190.). We took tram 59 from Széll Kálmán tér(formerly Moszkva tér) to Farkasrét, Márton Áron tér. It's an enjoyable 15 minute ride through the neighbourhoods.

We enjoyed our coffee and delicious cake in the nice quiet garden with old chestnut trees. The inside of the cafe also looked very nice with antique furniture.
