Stayed at the Marmara for 3 nights with a group of friends on a Christmas weekend break. Hotel is very clean and tidy, rooms are quite small but well decorated, with good facilities ; free safe, flatscreen tv, coffee / tea making facilites (but no tea or coffee!), hairdryer and mini bar. Breakfast is good, fair choice of hot / cold foods, although some of the fruit looked like it was past its sell by date. Hotel bar was reasonably priced, and staff were very helpful - we had a bit of a problem when our hotel transfer driver collected the wrong group, but the receptionist was more than happy to step in and take control.
Only downside about Marmara, was location - it was a fair walk from the central area.
Budapest was spectacular, wonderful architecture, great night life, but highlight was definately the Szechenyi thermal baths - a real treat, don't miss it.More
