This cafe is a real find, halfway between The Castle Hill and Gellert Baths, along the river bank. A very informal, quirky and friendly place to have a snack lunch when site seeing. Pretty and full of art works by the owner's daughter. probably good in the evening too as the food was good.

Stumbled across it by accident. Really charming family run, pretty coloured furniture. A little gem and just a few steps away from the S. Lanchid bridge on the Buda side and facing the Danube.

We ate here on our first night in Budapest. The restaurant was only 5 minute walk from the Orion Best Western on the Buda side. The food was excellent with generous portions. We had a main and dessert and left feeling glad we hadnt attempted starters too! Drinks were reasonably priced. Mains were about £10 a dish. Desserts £2.50. Can highly reccommend the duck as a main. The homemade cakes are a delight.

The atmosphere is very friendly. Staff are excellent. It's clearly a family run place and the soft jazz music playing gave marvelosa a certain romantic feel

Stumbled across Marvelosa after spending an exhausting afternoon walking up the steep hills of Buda.

The food, drinks, and service (in what appears to be a family run business) are all excellent. I could easily imagine this place in a trendy suburb of New York or London.

Excellent value for money.

I was walking around town after leaving the Christmas markets for a place to have a drink. We came upon this quaint restaurant. The owner and staff were very welcoming. I would suggest this place if you want to get away from tourist area.
