Everything you want from a hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They mailed us before arrival and helped us with any queries we had. Any restaurants they suggested were top notch. Room was small but clean and well kept. Breakfast was great - there was a huge selection foods. Couldn't fault anything, would definitely come again.

Wow! I can't imagine a better place to stay in Budapest. First, the location -- far enough away from the bustle and honky-tonk of the city center, but easy to walk everywhere. The hotel is located on a tiny square with benches and an ice cream kiosk, next to a short all-pedestrian street lined with low-key restaurants with outdoor seating. We arrived during the World Cup, and all the restaurants had TVs on the outside terraces for people to watch the game. It's kind of a student neighborhood, and has an informal, homey feeling. It was super-convenient the night we arrived to stroll down the street and have an easy dinner.

At the same time, it is only a ten minute walk to the big Market and the Danube waterfront, and a 15 minute walk to the Jewish Quarter and Dohany Synagogue. It was a five minute tram ride to Andrassy Street.

The hotel itself is my favorite kind of European hotel -- a beautifully maintained historic building but inside, the rooms and facilities are completely modern. Great firm mattress; silent and excellent air conditioning, flat screen TV in the room, good shower. NO street noise. The breakfast was awesome -- huge assortment of various eggs, cold cuts, smoked salmon, cheeses, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereals, sausage & bacon, salad, a dozen kinds of tea, an espresso machine, fresh grapefruits you could squeeze for juice, breads and croissants (including mini pain au chocolats) In short, anything you might want, and constantly being refilled by staff.

Front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. There's even a (very small) gym. We would definitely stay here again!

I wish every hotel was this good, and this enjoyable to stay at. Hotel is beautiful. Rooms small, but big enough. Staff friendly, competent, helpful. Breakfast was the best I've ever had at any hotel. Our clothes were half dry/half wet, and Steven at the front desk had someone go out to Buy a clothes rack for us- that's REAL service! I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: A suggestion: if you're a non-smoker, ask for a room on an all non-smoking floor. Some floors a...

This is a fantastic hotel! Very clean, modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. I noticed that one reviews said the rooms were small, but for Europe they definitely weren't. The breakfast was good, probably could do with a couple more vegetarian cooked options, but otherwise there was plenty of continental options for me to choose from. The hotel was based in lovely central location, so that we were able to enjoy a 10 minute walk to the main square or a 10 minute walk in the other direction to the New Yorker for a lovely meal; there was also a pub close by that still serves food until midnight, which was very handy since we did a river cruise and all other restaurants were closed by the time it finished. There is also a Penny Market (mini supermarket) just around the corner where you could get any grocery items that you might need for local prices as opposed to tourist prices (e.g. water for 39 HUF as opposed to 165 HUF in a bakery close to the main square and 500 HUF on the river cruise). This hotel is the way to go.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days and each day was better then the last. The hotel is immaculately clean and up to date. The service is right on and every employee from the front desk to the service personnal were perfect. The only down side is the location is a little far from the city center but if you get to learn the public transportation, as we did, it is fine.
On your trip to Budapest, stay here.

This spacious hotel is located about a 5-minute walk from the Metro. When we walked into the hotel, we were immediately struck with how spacious the hotel is. There are multiple lounge areas and meeting rooms. There are even lounge chairs in nooks on each floor. This made it extremely convenient for us when one person needed to make a phone call; they could easily step outside the room or go downstairs to a lounge for some privacy.

The rooms are full of light and have big windows that you can open up. The curtains are also like blackout curtains, so you can sleep as late as you want. Breakfast is decadent - smoked salmon, cold cuts, cheeses, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, several kinds of bread, several types of juices, cooked vegetables, croissants, chocolate croissants, rolls, fresh fruit, salad, fruit salad, tea, coffee, espresso. And champagne. Sadly, we didn't notice the champagne until our last day here.

The hotel lounge serves tea, coffee, water, and sparkling water for free until 5pm. One thing we had at other hotels on our journey that we would have loved to have here was an electric kettle and free tea in our rooms. It is lovely at the end of a long day of walking to be able to make a cup of tea before bed.

The concierges were friendly and helpful. We were able to book a lovely tour of the Danube by boat through them, and they were extremely helpful whenever we had questions. One great option that this hotel has that we had not encountered before is the ability to book a taxi through them for arriving from the train station or airport or departing to the train station or airport and have it charged to our room. This eliminated our need to have the right currency when arriving and leaving Budapest.

Room Tip: Top floor (5th floor) facing the church; these rooms have a fantastic view
