The Hotel is a privately owned, totally rebuilt, former palace with sunny colors, light galore from a beautiful glass ceiling in the lobby providing an airy feeling to the reception area. It has two beautiful lounges with free water and snacks and newspapers. The surfaces of the interior are intricate and yet not overdone. We stayed for about 9 days, and every day brought delightful discoveries. Each and every staff person we spoke with was a gem. This experience was one of the two best we have ever had in a European hotel and we go at least once, often twice a year. We could not have been more pleased with every facet of our time at the Hotel Palazzo Zichy...we wish we could go back again next week to this elegant and yet welcoming and relaxing bit of paradise.
