“Fantastic Hotel: Everything you need.”
Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

I am writting this currently sitting in the hotel bar waiting for my transfer to the airport whilst enjoying the free tea, coffee and bottled water they provide during the day. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay, the location is great and only about a ten minute walk to the centre. The breakfast is great, selection of cold meats, bacon, eggs, juice and pastries. You can order breakfast to your room the night before and there is no charge for this. The staff were really friendly and you can buy tickets to the baths and metro single tickets from them. The only downside was that we found the pillows a little to hard for our taste but we didnt raise this with staff so there could very well be the option for softer pillows if you ask.

I would definatelt stay here again when in Budapest.

Rooms are marvelous (even the standard ones).

Breakfast - very very good, the service was also very pleasant.

The only MINUS is the parking - there is some private parking, but it's very difficult to drive in (I've scratched my bumper) - they should work on it, but I give it the best hotel I've ever stayed in.

Great location near city center, you will reach Pest main attractions with a 10/15mins walk. You can find coffee houses, bars and restaurants all around the hotel. Room is spacious with all the needed amenities, very clean and quiet. All the staff was vey helpful and friendly, they provided everything we needed for a confortable stay.
Breakfast is also very good with a great selection of breads, pastries, cheese, cold meats, coffee, fruit, yogurts... to boost your energy. There is also a self service coffee room where you can find complimentary snacks, water and coffee during the day (these are the details that really make the difference). Free wifi is available in the room and probably other areas too.
The hotel is a renovated palace and you can find the old/modern mix in the entrance and the stairs that look amazing, but you can always use the lift :)
The only negative thing I found were the mattresses that were too soft for my back and didn't propose a great sleeping time. I booked it through a British Airways great deal. When in Prague I will definitely get back there.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here in the lovely Palazzo Zichy. The hotel is a former palace and furnished exquisitely. Rooms are nice comfotable and the staff are exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful.

It's a little out of the centre (i.e. near the shops) but is only a nice walk away and the neighbourhood offers plenty of interesting things and places to eat and drink. I would reccomend it to anybody and definitely stay again.

Oh, and it is exceptional value for what you get here.

I stumbled across this hotel whilst looking for flights to Budapest and managed to get a deal. I can't express how much of a joy it was when we turned up on a very cold evening in December!

It's a modern boutique hotel located in a 19th Century building and I can only describe it as stunning! It's in a good location about a 10 minute walk to local transport or a 15-20 minute walk into central Budapest. The staff were very helpful especially when I realised the adaptor I'd taken to charge my phone was the wrong one and they had some spare available for loan! they were also just as helpful when asking for information, booking our bus/boat ticket (which by the way is cheaper at the hotel than if you try and buy if from the street) and especially when booking our return taxi to the airport.

Hot and cold selections at breakfast - of course it's predominantly European (chorizo style sausages, salami and cheeses) but then what do you expect? It's in Europe! There was always lots of choice though along with fresh tea, coffee and juice. Delicious and hearty it definitely set me up for a day of sightseeing.

The room was my personal highlight. It's not massive granted, but it was stylish, spotlessly clean with a really comfortable bed and rain shower. Bliss :-)

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Stayed for three days, rooms are clean, spacious and modern. Breakfast is comprehensive and has everything you would want. Can be difficult to find as everyone I gave the address to found it difficult by car but with the trams and metro it is very easy. Staff very helpful and always willing to show you how to get to to places, especially places outside of Budapest. I have spent a lot of time in Budapest and this is the best place I have stayed.
