We arrived Budapest very late but there was someone waiting for us when we got there. When we first got out of the cab I was thinking, "Oh no! What did I get us into?!" It was a little deserted and the building was very old. When we walked through the corridor to the apartment the other building looked like it was falling apart but once we got inside our apartment it was WONDERFUL! Very modern (right out of the Ikea catalogue). There was great wifi, a giant TV, a full kitchen and coffee pot. The pillows weren't much (feather) but the apartment was great. Little did we know we were a. right down the street from the Great Synagogue and b. in the former Jewish Ghetto. Zita, the woman who welcomed us, stayed to show us where to get breakfast, lunch and dinner and gave us other useful tips. The door was new so it was a little difficult to lock at times but it was such a great place and I'm a little ashamed I jumped to such a conclusion at first. I definitely recommend it.
