“Great walk”

But a very dirty place to go. Just be prepared for that. But you cannot beat the photo ops from up there!!

“Small stones in the food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

The starter was OK, goulash soup, but for main I had home made spaghetti with scampi and a home-made tomato and garlic sauce, topped with ruccola. The main course tasted nothing really, and there were only three scampis in the dish. At the end I chewed on something hard and it turned out to be a small stone (probably from the ruccola). I told the waiter and he just took the plate - no excuse - nothing - and had to pay full price for the meal. Back home I found out a filling was broken and had to be replaced. So not happy with this experience at all! They could at least have apologized. Not a winner.

“Poor service and tourist food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014

We have been to the citadella restaurant to discover this restaurant and the view.
The view over Budapest is really beautiful but the quality of the service is very poor (for instance, no one is answering to nor telling you goodbye). The food is average.
There is room for improvement and make this restaurant a great place.

“Free goulash says it all”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2014 via mobile

This could be a wonderful restaurant as the views are spectacular. We were greeted with "where is your voucher for the free goulash" which kind of sums up what kind of place this is. The staff were miserable, and the price of drinks extortionate. Go for the view, but don't expect a quality restaurant experience.

“Most amazing food ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2014

After jumping back on our bus tour whilst visiting szechenyi spa, on day 2 of our trip, we decided to go here for food around 4.30pm.
The only negative was that it set the food bar very high for the rest of the trip.
Most people on the bus tour were given a voucher for free beef goulash soup, however all 9 of us decided to stay for our main meal and none of us were disappionted.
The mozarella cannelloni was so amazing and I am still reliving it and gutted I cant just go and get it.
Most of us had the beef tenderloin which was cooked to perfection.
The sweets were to die for especially the chilli chocolate and another hungarian sponge cake speciality I cant pronounce.
I cant talk anymore about the food as I cant go there whenever i want to.
And as if that wasnt the best, the view of the city from day turning into night was spectacular.
The staff were lovely and all very chatty. A lovely man came in towards the end to play the piano and one of our group with a lovely voice joined in a couple of songs which was greatly applauded.
It was a little expensive for Budapest, however the quality, service, location and atmosphere would have been 3 times the price back home at least.
Was truly one of many highlights of the trip, and would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to all who want a little bit of the amazing whilst in Budapest.
You can walk back down into the inner city, however if going down the unlit path at the side, during darkness be very careful of the steps etc. The view is pretty awsome though with the other side of the city's lights.
