We celebrated a 'special' birthday here during our visit to Budapest. Fantastic view - wonderful to watch the skyline as the midsummer darkness fell. The restaurant service was good, though became less attentive during the evening. The main thing to be aware of is that the restaurant is neither wheelchair friendly, nor easy for those who find stairs difficult.

This restaurant has probably one of the two best views in Budapest, (the other is the Busulo Juhasz (Weeping Shepherd). We were treated royally, and had exquisitely prepared delicious food. Probably our best in Budapest and we are there every year for an extended period. This is definitely not cheap by Hungarian standards, but for appetizers, drinks, meal, dessert for two it was around $100. Certainly can't get that over here! The service was impeccable as was the food. Then, the view at night across the bridges, well it's unforgettable. We had a window table, but most tables would have a view. Reservations are required. Actually, most restaurants in Hungary do require them. The live gypsy music was also very nice for background music.

Located on the plateau of Gellert Hill, the restaurant offers besides a gorgeous panorama of Budapest, a traditional excellent soup Gulash .

This is a very nice and quiet restaurant with very fine and varied food (with great choice of refined Hungarian wines). The location of this restaurant is amazing, on top of the citadelle hill on the Buda side of the city.

You also can enjoy a new and outside lounge bar and restaurant with an amazing view on the city and Danube rive, with good music and excellent food. Both restaurant are a great experience to recommend!
