“Lovely modern hotel with good amenities”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

Stayed here for a long weekend and the hotel is small but very modern and stylish. Friendly staff, free wifi and we were able to print off our boarding passes for no extra charge. The room is a good size for two people and the beds very comfy. Great use of storage space as well with cupboards built in to the wall. The shower was powerful but often slipped down as it came loose a couple of times.
The room was kept clean. Breakfast was OK but only served until 10am even on the weekends. The breakfast waiters started clearing up around us before 10am and switched the lights off while people were still eating! I imagined if you stayed here for longer the breakfast selection could get repetitive.
All in all a very good stay, nice and central to walk places and the reception staff were lovely.

One thing to watch out for was reception booked a taxi to take us up to the Museum of Fine Art. The cost was only about 1600 ft and the journey took under ten minutes. We hailed a taxi to take us back to the hotel so we could catch the airport transfer for our flight home. The driver took us a really long way back and the meter ticked up to nearly 5000 ft (About £15 in a very cheap city). We reasoned with the taxi driver and only paid him 3000 ft, which at about £9 is still a healthy tip. As we hailed it from a touristy area he was clearly trying to scam us, and was only when we questioned him he backed down. It's a shame when cities take advantage of tourists, especially when they benefit from tourism year round.

I'd recommend getting the airport transfer shuttle bus when you arrive. It's a good service, convenient and doesn't cost much for a 30 minute journey to the city centre.

We (my wife and I) stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April. The hotel is very nice, new and modern and that was exactly what we were looking for. The room that we were in was a bit small but nevertheless this wasn't a problem for us as we were up and about the whole day and we only went to sleep in the hotel. The breakfast was amazing and I think that everybody can find something good to eat.

What we hadn't liked was that we came with our car to the hotel (we were on a road trip), and there was no parking space. The hotel clerk told us that we can park in the garage downstairs for which we must pay 20 euros per night. It isn't much but other hotels have free parking space for their guests.

Other than that there was no problem. The staff are very friendly, the hotel is just a 10 minute walk from the centre, there are a lot of bars and shops just down the street from it so if you just have bead and breakfast you won't go hungry searching for food.

Very nice hotel, staff were freindly and helpful, Positioned well for getting around on foot, 5 minutes to New York Cafe.25 minute walk to St Stephens Basilica, 40 minute walk to the Danube. We found that using a hop on hop off tourist bus very helpful

Room Tip: My tip would be, if you stay here ask for an inside room. We had a room overlooking the street and...

Deposit taken for c115eur, i was staying for one night, price of room c75eur-didnt understand why they require such a big deposit, plus, a week later and it hasn't been reimbursed. Some kind of fee to prove there were funds on my card. Definitely not a place if you have a tight budget. Rooms fine, a little tight. Reasonable breakfast. Very good central location, but annoyed by deposit issue.
