Soho Boutique Hotel

We are just back from a weekend in the Soho hotel and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite which had plenty of space. The breakfast room is small but there is lots to eat and plenty of choice. The hotel is in an ideal location for visiting shops, pubs and all the sights. There is a tram, metro and bus nearby and a great patisserie next door.
We are looking forward to our next trip to Budapest which is an amazing city and would definitely stay in the Hotel Soho again....

We spend 2 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are small, with matted glass separating bathroom and bedroom. Food is ok (we try only breakfast), if you want you can leave car at hotel garage (quite an experience with car elevator and turning plate for turning car around). Overall, I recommend this hotel.

After arriving in the hotel we have been checked in on the reception at around 10 pm by an really unfriendly receptionist.
Also the next evening at around 10 pm we called the reception to order room service. The same receptionist picked up to tell that he doesn't have time now and he will call back later, which he actually did AFTER we walked down to go out to a store to buy some food.

The other staff was really friendly, just the night receptionist !

Furthermore the rooms are really small, especially with 2 persons you are standing in each others way all the time.

The breakfast buffet is not a really good, for example the juices are just chemical and the jam is disgusting...

The parking is really really small! If you don't have a small car you may face problems.

This modern hotel was in a great location for us, in walking distance of all the activities we wanted to do.
The room were spotless and stylish - the bathroom had a glass wall which was see through about 2/3 of the way up, this was very entertaining for us! However it may be an issue for people not travelling as a couple or couples who are not comfortable toilet arrangements!
We had a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room which was a great touch. Only downside to the room: tv channel had only 1 english channel (sky news - which is very repetitive) and there were no toiletries in the bathroom (i took my own anyway).
The cleaners made the room over each day.
The hotel had organised transfers to and from the airport which made the trip stress free and organised.
Breakfast was amazing, everything you could wish for, meat, cheese, fresh breads, salads, hot food, fruit etc. Only downsides: no toaster, tea/coffee facilities very slow and the buffet area was very overcrowded.
Staff were very helpful, friendly and presentable.
We booked the Danube evening river cruise with buffet through the hotel (i would highly reccomend this! so romantic and great for sightseeing).
We were going to book a massage through the hotel but as we were on a budget we couldnt afford the prices (the massage place looked very posh and the packages included a lot of things but we were running out of money) so we looked for an independant massage place. If you turn right out of the hotel and keep going for about 5 minutes, there is a great little Thai massage place which was reasonably priced and was a great experience.
Overall this hotel was very good, a few little things that let it down however seen as though we used the room as purely a place to sleep it didnt matter.

We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed our stay.

Yes the bedrooms are on the small size but for the amount of time you spend in the room it doesnt matter. The hotel is spotless and very modern and the staff are all very helpful.

The breakfast was great lots of options from cereals to fruit, salads and hot cooked breakfast. The french toast was a popular choice with my family.

The hotel is just around the corner from an ATM and bureau de change. Its about 5 minutes walk from the closest metro and only 2 stops from Deak Square.

This hotel is right in the center of Budapest. It has very nice and extrenely serviceminded staff. Especially Peter in the bar and the manager gave us a very good experience and helped us plan different things. The rooms are small, but they are clean. Breakfast is also good. A very nice stay - and we would definately return :)

Room Tip: There is a Junior suite avaliable - if you want a bigger room.

The rooms were very little (only negative aspect of the hotel), but really clean and comfortable. A sort of "lounge" style! No hotel brand soap or shampoo but, after all, who uses them? Hairdrier, instead. Good internet wifi connection. Impressive breakfast, plenty of food, from scrumbled eggs to cereals, from sausages to croissant. Kind staff, helpful and providing information needed. Good position: five minutes walk from the centre and lots of small restaurants and similars all around the area (the "Lado'" jazz club, just opposite to the hotel, is really fine). Just around the corner there is one of the best exchange offices in the town, when turning into Erzebet Ktr from Dohany Utca (we changed at 296HUF/1€ with 0,2 commission) We actually found an offer so only paid 40€ per night for two people in a double room, breakfast included, (end of January, so maybe low season) and it was definitely worth it!!
