Four of us ate here based on a recommendation from our hotel. The food was quite good, perhaps four stars, but the ambiance is poor (minimal cafe decoration with metal chairs and tables).
We were the only people in the restaurant other than the owner/chef and a waiter. The owner chef was sitting at one of the tables when we arrived but made no effort to greet us. After ordering our meal, the waiter broke a beer bottle while removing some others from a cooler and the chef/owner came out from the kitchen and began to yell at him for his failure. Perhaps New Yorkers would feel at home in this surly environment but we did not.
