This apartment was within walking distance of many sights. We were happy to have help getting oriented, getting hopon hop off tickets, direction to vegetarian restaurants and traditional food. We were also thrilled with the air conditioning in the hundred degree heat wave and the balcony for early morning espresso.
We were really pleased with this rental. It was easy to find, the agent met us when he said he would and we found the place to be clean and tidy. In fact the agent was really helpful, even storing our luggage between check out and the time we needed to head for the airport.
For 4 of us it was ideal - 2 bathrooms and 2 decent sized bedrooms. The kitchen is pretty small and I wouldn't like to rely on it for anything other than breakfast but, like most people likely to rent here, we dined out each evening.
The location is bang opposite the synagogue and it is only a short walk from the main squares at Varosmarty and Deak Ter and also St Stephen's Basilica. In the other direction is the Jewish Quarter (obvious, really) with its ruin pubs and great value restaurants. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby to lay in supplies. The tram to the Gellert Baths runs pretty much right by the door and the subway is just round the corner at Astoria, so everywhere in Buda and Pest is easy to get to.
Like most of the central city the location was safe and we had no problems returning to the apartment late at night.
