Central position on a pedestrians only street full of shops, cafes, restaurants within easy walking distance of central Pest near the river. Clean comfortable rooms. Very helpful English speaking staff who will order taxis, make restaurant reservations, provide information and advice. etc.
Breakfast room provides a good choice of cereals and continental breakfast items: scambled eggs, ham, various other meats, cheese etc. No need for a full restaurant with so many within walking distance.Excellent value for a reasonable price.

Stayed there for 7 nights with my GF.
The hotel is on a super central location.
The rooms are big and silent (we stayed in a top floor, facing the street room. And by "street" i mean office building infront of the window (: but we didnt care).
There is no bath curtain, I dont understand what is the problem to install one.

The dining room is little, & abit pressed together.
The only bad experience we had: One morning we went to the dining room, & there was not a place for us. There were 2 girls sitting to a table, & playing with their smartphones (didnt eat).
The dining room staff (only 2 people) saw it, and 100% understand what is going on - but still didnt ask them to clear off the table.
The food is ok (standart continental), although it could have been nice if there was any diversity from time to time.
The check in was fast, and the staff was good.
You have the metro to city park in a walking distance (Vorosmatry ter), and the Danube also.
F.Y.I. if you go to the opposite way of Vorosmatry ter, youll find CBA. You can buy there water, food, beer and even souvenirs.

Have a great stay!

Room Tip: We were at room 503. It doesnt close to the elavator, it facing the street (although you need to ben...

My sons and I stayed at the Promenade for four days, three nights over this last week. It was ideal for us - located in the center of town within walking distance to almost all attractions and many restaurants. Not a big hotel but so what? Room was clean and comfortable, with a window on the Vaci Utca street - although not too picturesque becaus extensive infrastructure work is being done on the street and elsewhere nearby, so one has to navigate around fenced-off sections. The bathtub has no shower curtain or door, so be careful to prevent water from spraying on the bathroom floor. That's my only negative about the hotel however. Breakfast was not fancy, but with the exception of boiled hot dogs, there was enough choice of cheese, meat, bread, pastries, and fruit that you don't have to eat for most of the day afterwards. Minibar and bottled water (for a charge) in the room, although we didn't partake. Plenty of electrical outlets for charging phones and tablets. Free wi-fi made it comfortable to lie on our beds and consult Trip Advisor :-) in a relaxed state to decide which restaurant to eat in. Staff was very friendly and courteous, even after we had checked out.
If you're looking for luxury and willing to pay high prices, then go elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, pleasant place to stay while budgeting more money to spend on food, sites, and shopping, then this hotel is a great choice. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Room Tip: Other reviewers have stated that it's possible to receive rooms with showers instead of the curt...

A hidden gem. If you're not careful you could miss it. Perfectly situated in the main shopping street. Rooms were large enough with a good bathroom. Very clean, rooms done every day. A good breakfast but the same every day and only hot dog type sausages, but plenty else to choose from. All the staff were lovely, friendly and so helpful.
We stayed 3 night b+b before travelling down to Lake Balaton-Keszthely for a couple of weeks.

Vibrant and gorgeous Budapest. Our first visit and won't be our last.Hotel ideal for our group of 10 old timers but no shower curtains so water goes everywhere.Spacious rooms and reception staff a delight.Breakfast good but only 'Hot-Dog' type sausages and not English style. However very good but be aware the bottle of water in your room isn't free and goes up in price. When I asked to pay for it on check out it had mysteriously increased from the advertised price 'Because the price is related to the Euro exchange rate',As I was paying in the local currency I felt this was almost comical and they relented when I insisted that I was paying the advertised price in the indigenous currency.Great location and not dear so would use it again.Wonderful Budapest was an experience to savour.

Room Tip: Insist on bwing away from the lift shaft.

We have just returned from a Jet2 four night break in the beautiful city of Budapest. We were blown away by the beauty of the city and the friendliness of the Hungarian people. The hotel itself is ideally situated in the Vaci Utica, one of the main shopping streets in Budapest close to many bars and restaurants and also within walking distance of all the main attractions. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is a buffet with cereals, yogurt, continental selection (meats/cheese/salad), scrambled egg/hotdog type sausages, breads and pastries. The staff in the restaurant were busy, but again very friendly. We had none of the problems experienced by previous visitors with our pre-booked taxi. We were dropped off a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and the taxi driver met us in the hotel reception to take us to the taxi for our return journey-we were concerned after reading other reviews but the guy at the hotel reception rang the taxi company and checked the arrangements for us in the morning. Thank you for a faultless stay!

Just got back from a 4 day break at this hotel in Budapest and found it excellent. The location is great, on the main shopping street and only a few minutes walk to the river. We had a lovely modern room and the breakfast was continental and plenty of it. There were plenty of restaurants and bars within 5 mins walk and the Basillica was only 15 mins stroll, an absolute must see if visiting this beautiful city. Overall we couldn't find fault with our whole trip.
