“Excellent stay!”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast next door was also good. The location is very central and having read the other reviews below, we found it easily by keeping an eye out for the gate. Would definitely recommend!

Friendly staff, helpful. Perfect location, near tram and Metro Line. A bit hard to find, but once you do, a hidden gem. Basic room, but everything you need. Clean, comfortable. Safe, secure location. Near all restaurants, nightlife. I would stay here again and I have!

We've spent here 3 night in new year's eve. The hotel is small and located in the 1rst floor of a building. The entrance is old, but like all this kind of buildings in this area. The place is safe, the entrance is closed from 6pm to the morning.
It's in front of the beautiful Synagogue, 5min to Vorosmarty Ter (comercial zone), 10min to the St Istvan Basilique and 20min to the Opera. We could go by walk anywhere, except to the Heroes Square and the Szecheny Furdo, that we went by metro (the white line station is in 5 min walk). It's also close to the bars and restaurants zone.
We've enjoyed a lot our stay here, the staff is very kind.

At first we had a lot of trouble actually finding the hotel! It is located in a big building through a gate and up some stairs. Once you find it though the staff are super friendly and helpful. We had lost our luggage on a flight and the lady was very sympathetic and helpful as we had to leave paper work with her for when it was delivered. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bed was comfy. The hotel was well located and within walking distance to a lot of main attractions as well as places to eat and drink. Even though it was located on a main road it was very quite and you could sleep well. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed here with family this weekend just gone. We were dropped off by 'Airport Shuttle' - who are based at the airport, they dropped us off outside the gates to the hotel - however, as you will see in other reviews, you may not realise that this is the hotel. Don't do as we did and wander up and down the road, the entrance to this hotel is an iron gate opposite the Synagogue, you'll see a small sign for the Budapest City Central - it's maybe worth knowing it used to be known as the Karoly Central Budapest (after the road it's on). It's up on the first floor, go up in a 'cosy' lift and they're very similar to apartments.
The staff are really friendly and polite, they will happily give you advice, they even let us borrow a guide book when we realised we'd left ours in the airport :(
The rooms were clean and a good size and the beds were comfortable. Hotel is in a good location, maybe 10 - 15 minute stroll to the Chain Bridge, Tesco and Spar shops nearby.
The restaurant that the breakfast is provided by - Bocadillos - is a lovely little place with decent food and friendly staff. We ended up eating here almost every meal - after we tried looking for somewhere else, we decided it was better to go somewhere we know we will enjoy.
If you're considering this hotel for the (very) reasonable price then you won't be disappointed.

Just a little tip, if you want bottled still water in Budapest - go for the pink lids on the bottles - blue means sparkling and green means slightly sparkling.

My friend and I stayed 5 nights in this wonderful hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, with a bottle of wine upon arrival, very nice touch. There are also tea and coffee making facilities in reception, air conditioning, heated towel rails, tv, iron, hair dryer and our room had a balcony! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, they really made the stay for us as they helped us with all our plans and made it so easy for us to get about Budapest. I was constantly in asking questions and they were very approachable. They had maps and brochures, discount vouchers for food and drinks and even allowed me print pre-booked tickets at reception. The cost was very reasonable for such good accommodation. It is right bang in the city centre too in a very secure complex. All big tourist sights are walking distance and it is about a minute walk to the Astoria underground with plenty of shops and cafes around. The one and only negative was that the room is right beside a busy road so you hear traffic and there were a lot of sirens but I just brought some ear plugs with me and had a great nights sleep. The rooms tended to be somewhat stuffy but you can control the air con in your room. I would highly recommend this hotel! We had a brilliant stay here.

Glad we found this hotel. Several friends and I stayed here when we completed a river cruise. It's location is right in the middle of good eats, sights, and transportation to other parts of the city. The reception staff (especially Daniel) were very helpful in getting us to where we wanted to be. Would recommend this find to all my friends and would stay here on a return trip.
