“Superb hotel in Castle District”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

What a gem of a place! We stayed as a family party of 7 in Superior rooms. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and very spacious, though my wife found the bed a little hard. Everyone appreciated the heated bathroom floors and the temperature is warm throughout. All the staff are very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. An ample and well cooked breakfast is provided. Located in a quiet corner of the Castle district, just a two minute walk from St. Matthias Church and the number 16 bus which goes into the centre of Pest, the hotel is extremely conveniently located, has lots of local character, and is very peaceful. We are so pleased we chose to stay in Buda rather than Pest, and it would be hard to beat this hotel for character and modern fashion. There is much to enjoy in Budapest. We found the 72 hour public transport Travelcard (as opposed to the Budapest card which is twice the price) invaluable for getting around the city. We warmly recommend this hotel...

Me and my girlfriend have been in this Hotel for a couple of day during a weekend.
The hotel is located in the old city, in a very quite area so beautiful to visit, very close to the Royal Palace.
For us it has been the best location to stay after a long day visiting the city.
The Hotel is really nice and the staff is very friendly. The bathroom was fantastic, with a nice bath.
So at the end I suggest to go there.

Highly recommend this hotel, upon arriving we were informed that we had been upgraded from a superior double to a suite, the staff could not do enough for you and were willing to go out of there way to make your stay special. The hotel is situated in the quite part of the city but is excellent for the attractions nearby and has many restaurants within a five minute walk. Pest is only a twenty minute walk down the hill and over the chain bridge and is the busier part of the city with many attractions,I would highly recommend the Danube cruise as we felt it was well worth the money and the Hungarian buffet food was exceptional. All in all a wonderful place to visit and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic hotel in a beautiful area situated in the castle district. This is in the Buda part of the city, and may seem a little far away when searching for hotels, but it is very peaceful and relaxing, and the excellent and easy to use buses stop at the end of the road (100m) and run every six minutes into the centre of Pest. Don't let that put you off - it really is no hassle. We purchased a 72hour travel card which was valid on all buses/trams/trolley buses/ metro underground and even the cogwheel railway which takes you up into the Buda hills for 4150 HF (£12.50).
Our Hotel room, which was standard pricing was like a suite with king bed, lounge area with three lounge chairs, tv, mini bar fridge etc and very spacious luxury en suite. I must admit when I was searching I was torn between location and quality of hotel, but I plumped for this hotel, and was so glad I did. Staff were extremely helpful and booked a restaurant for us when asked. Nothing too much trouble. Can highly recommend to anyone

This is an excellent hotel with spacious, well-appointed rooms and extremely helpful staff. There is no restaurant but breakfast is as plentiful as you want it to be. Its situation is perfect, plenty of restaurants nearby and the Matthias church and Fishermen's Bastion, a must-visit at night with its view over the city, only a couple of minutes' walk away. You can easily get to the Pest side on the tourist hop-on hop-off buses, or by (relatively cheap) taxi ride. We would readily recommend this hotel.

Just returned after a 3 night stay. Great hotel in castle area. We were worried that we should have stayed on the livelier Pest side but were so pleased that we stayed here. The area is very beautiful and very central. We ate at Pierrot which is a 5 minute walk and then went for cocktails at Oscars bar, another 5 min walk, which was great too.
Our room was lovely and spacious, on 2 levels with the bedroom area was upstairs. Breakfast was self service and plentiful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if in Budapest.
