After reading many positive opinions on Tripadvisor, I decided to book this hotel for a small business trip. I agree that the hotel looks quite cosy and the owners do their best to be friendly, perhaps a bit too much. I was not convinced, not by the room, not by the breakfast and certainly not by the dinner I had in the hotel's restaurant. The location is great anyhow, but that makes parking again an issue ...

The room was large and comfortable, though located on the old main street, was quiet and pleasant. The door to the roof terrace was a bonus and breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits, homemade jam and crispy croissons. Having breakfast on the terrace facing the stunning view was excellent,

Room Tip: Room no 1 has the doors that exits the roof terrace and it gives like additional space and a private corner

We stayed at Lectar last weekend and we were positively surprised. A really hospitable place in an 500 year old building with rooms overlooking the historical town Radovljica. The rooms are nice and modern but they look old :) The hotel is also known for its good restaurant so many tourist go there just for lunch or dinner.
In this relatively small family owned hotel there is also a museum with real "lectar hearts" (http://www.slocally.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/IMG_7632.jpg) production going on. You can buy different hearts or even order one by your choice.

Room Tip: Take the room called "Lectar" (room number 2) - overlooks the historical square in Radovljica but as the place is closed down for traffic it is very quiet in the mornings.

Myself and two friends recently stayed at Pension Lectar, on this occasion we were travelling with our Motorcycles on a tour of Slovenia and Italy.
We chose the Lectar for it's excellent location near to Lake Bled and easy access to Lublijana.

As usual the Hotel, rooms, staff and food were all top quality, when combined with the location this is one of the best places to stay in the whole region in my opinion.
We were able to park our bikes in the quiet back service road with no problems, the staff went out of their way to be helpful, we even had the mattress changed for the 3rd 'Occasional bed' in our shared room without any hassle.

We wanted to dine one evening and the proposition of this restaurant was a disaster.
The table facing the garden had at least 500 dead flies at the window and the food we ordered (local slovenian) was an absolute disaster. All 8 people found it terrible.
The wines where fine but a small salvation for the rest.
Never again

Room Tip: Go to the restaurant from the Triglav hotel in Bled
