Some say they are, but to our estimation they are the largest we have ever visited around the world. The layout and guided tours are excellent ambling at a good pace from cavern to cavern to witness the most elemental of nature's creations and yet some of its most spectacular. The place is simply (pun) "cavernous," and includes room after room. We walked, climbed, ambled down slopes and even took an open tram through parts of the caverns, and at tour's end had a look at one of the creatures discovered in the waters of the caves, colorless newts. It is a must see if you're in Slovenia. Beats Luray Caverns in Virginia and even the grottos in one of the karst "mountains" out in Halong Bay, Vietnam!

The social media photos totally live upto the hype. This place is magical and gorgeous. The train ride is about 10 minutes and then not a hard walk. An amazing experience.

Wow, this is a must visit place! When you enter, you take a train for 10 minutes to go deep into the caves. It is truly magical place. The cave is very deep and enormous! Tour guide said it is about 20km long, but about 5km is open to the public. It is about 10 degrees in the caves, so dress warmly!

I love immersing myself in all things natural, and Postojna really stands out. We drove here, easy to find with lots of parking available. Parking is pretty good value. The site has lots of places to eat so lots of variety and a good day out if you have kids or if you are alone. The caves were fascinating. Our guide was really good and learnt a lot about these fascinating caves. Make sure you dress appropriately. The caves are a constant temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, and wear good walking shoes. Everywhere you look in this Cave, it's just gorgeous. So glad I came here.

This underground tour opens up the wonders and capabilities of people living hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Be aware that although there is a train that takes you into the cave there is a lot of walking with some elevation. May be difficult for some.
