I went with my sister and brother-in-law to the FMBB World Championships. We decided to stay in Portoroz instead of Koper where the championships were being held and so glad we did. Our travel agent found Hotel Marko, and we stayed there for a wonderful 10 days!! The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier. What a memorable trip!! Only stayed for 1 night in the hotel. As it was October not everywhere was open but it was only about a 10 minute walk along the coast to the main bar and restaurant area. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was fairly basic continental style but it was nice to sit on the terrace while having it. Would stay again without any problem.

I had a business trip to Portoroz. The weather was like in spring time. I spent there a day. The food was good, the room good for the money. The location is perfect, I would be happy to come back in summer time. I know Portoroz, I'm visiting Portoroz many times so I will take a chance to stay here.

This was our second stay and it was just as nice as the first one. This time I found the staff was nicer. You can't beat the location and the lovely view from the balcony. Especially at night when having a drink on your balcony you can listen to the music coming from then distance. The breakfast was delicious. As a guest of the hotel you have acces to the Meduza beach - 4 stars (for Meduza 5 stars you have to pay 20 eur per person), when you're obliged to buy a sun lounger (6 eur). 2 sun longers and an umbrella cost 12 eur. I didn't mind that though as it looks more orderly that way than if people bring their own towels and beach tents. But there is always a sand beach nearby which is completely free.

The type of the rooms are old fashion , the location is good and the beach meduza close to the hotel is nice but you need to pay 6€ per chair so it is not free as it written in the hotel reservation

the view and the balcony were great. the room was very clean and comfortable. It also had air conditioner as we were there in July with 33 C temperatures. The hotel is located right across from the ocean and very close to the city center.

This was a lovely hotel in Portoroz, the decor is old fashioned, but I found it very cosy. The biggest asset to our room was the balcony overlooking the sea. The breakfast buffet offered a varied choice, however, I wasn't too keen on their scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon (very far from gourmet!) and I would have liked more fresh fruit instead of the tinned fruit.

We also enjoyed an evening meal on the terrace at the hotel. The starter (spaghetti with garlic and herbs) was wonderful, the main course (chicken) a bit boring and the dessert (tiramisu) was good. Prices at the hotel are very reasonable and the parking garage works really well and costs 7 euro per day. Be careful if you park in the main parking area while checking in as the parking attendants are extremely strict if you don't have a ticket - so either get a ticket or one person stay at the car.

We were very pleased with our one night at this hotel, and can definitely recommend it.
