“The soup place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2013

A good Slovenian eating house nicely done out, staff friendly and reasonably priced food. 6 of us went on the hope of live music but there was none, which was a shame food was good. Lots of people had the soup which was served in a loaf of bread this look great.

“Charming local favorite”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

We stopped in for a quick lunch on a chilly Sunday afternoon. The warmth of the wood-burning pizza oven felt great. We knew we had made a good choice when in walked the local mayor and his entourage. Service was prompt and friendly and there was an amazing diverse selection of over 100 different pizza styles sure to satisfy any appetite. All in all a good value too!

“Not so bad for a tourists restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

The food was nice, a little overpriced and very average in quality - but compared to other "tourists restaurants", really not so bad.

“Baron Bomburst meets the toy maker in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2013

We loved this restaurant which was recommended by a number of the artisan market traders. The waiter looked as though he had stepped off the set of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. All traditional Slovenian costume, Benny Hill glasses and huge moustache. We ate early- around 6- so the restaurant was quiet.
Attentive service albeit slow (probably due to the food we had ordered). Enjoyed the complimentary Slovenian aperitif. We had a goulash with polenta and Farmers Repast split between 3 of us. All excellent and felt authentic and good value for money.
Recommended.

“Very pleasant lunch”

Good food, reasonable service and Slovenian ambience.

We visited at lunchtime and didn't see any problems with service.
