Description: Ljubljana's most famous sandwich shop also includes a full-fledged restaurant and café (in addition to the original soup and sandwiches of course) on the expanded premises. The à la carte selection leans towards the Italian, with homemade gnocchi and ravioli standing out, but also offers a handful of Slovene favourites, and the constantly changing daily lunch specials are a good value. The warm cosy atmosphere is also conducive to dropping in for an evening drink or dessert. Dober tek!

“if you can, stop there for lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

we decided to choose Paninoteka the first day in Lubiana, and we made the right choise.
The place is nice and clean, staff is ok, not to friendly, but they worked good!
Other then sandwiches they have a nice selection of warm food.
I went with the 9,20€ lunch deal, which had green peas soup, beef steak with mustard sauce and mushrooms, some kind of bread ravioli and a mix salad on the side, and a slice of cake.
My woman had the 7,90€ menu with zucchini soup, turkey breast deepfryed with almonds, cucumber and yogurt sauce, deepfried gnocchi and mix salad, and a slice of cake.
GOSH, everything was so good!
we drunk 2 cokes and we paid 21,30€!
PS. at night we had just a snack, we had not hungry at all after that lunch!

“Great panini”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2014

This is a good place to have a short break after walking in the center, the paninies are good, and there are lots of different fillings. Good food and reasonable prices.

“nice, friendly, quick and flexible”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2014

there is not much to add to the four words in the title - however, have to say that they are smily and not expensive. We had teas/coffees with rich deserts as a company of 10 people on one night, and the bill was only 41 euro. It's almost exactly what a tourist cafe in a lively spot shall be.

could not give them five points only because the interior design is very simple/modest, seems like they hired a designer who was previously rejected by McDonalds :)) good deserts and good coffee shall be accompanied with a more stylish interior.

“Slovenian food at a reasonable price!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 18, 2013

This Paninoteka deserves the title of Restaurant. The menu comprises a wide range of dishes for every taste, appetite and wallet. The Slovenian food they propose is really good and portions are largely enough. We had goulash with polenta and home-made ravioli, both were delicious. The waiters were welcoming and polite, which is apparently not that common in Lubljiana. Moreover, the place is not as crowded as other Restaurants in the city so you will definitely be able to enjoy your dinner!! Nothing better than that after a long day walking through the beautiful city of Lubljiana!

“Hot chocolate”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2013

We have visited that place to have a coffee, and prefered hot chocolate which was not bad, but not special. A small place devided into two parts one of them as caffee and the other as restaurant. We did not try the restaurant but i think there are several better places in ljubljana.
