Description: Lolita seduces and satisfies all your senses ... If you will enter into Lolita˝s environment, you will succumb to its charms. You will be seated in a warm sofa, staring you through the large windows and follow the movie that city center will play for you.. It will smell of almonds, chocolate, fresh biscuits, vanilla, tea and coffee. You will not want to go, until you try this precious cakes that you will be offered. You can stay even longer, and plunge into the novel by Vladimir Nabokov, Lolita. However, you can compose your story, perhaps on the basis of past times, which took place in this old building, which they say Filipov's house and it was caused by a severe earthquake in Ljubljana in 1895. How interesting that there was previously a café, Mayrjeva cafe, which was located in the lower rooms of the manor. It was then the center of socializing and Lolita will resurrect these times ... Lolita is neither just a patisserie nor a cafe, but it is easy to Lolita.

Lolita was a surprise find and we were cossetted from beginning to end! The choice of delicious looking cakes was amazing and they were so beautifully presented. The surroundings were funky and the waiting staff so helpful. My visit with friends certainly cheered us up on a rainy day!

Do go inside even on a sunny day - it is worth it! It's a design of the room that lets you feel as if you are in a fairy-tale. Sweets do not only look imaginative, but are also beautifully served and taste really good.

What a treat it is to visit Lolita. The restaurant is beautiful & boutique, with a selection of cakes to die for. My 72% cocoa Mangolita was light, well balanced, and presented impeccably. I've been fortunate enough to eat at a Michelin starred restaurant, and I wouldn't have been surprised to see the deserts at Lolita, there. Reccomend!

A nice place to go for morning or afternoon tea...perhaps lunch although we could mainly see sweet things such as cakes, macaroons and desserts. We did notice ham/cheese toasty advertised on their board at a reasonable price. My husband and I had lunch at the weekend market nearby when it started to rain so we headed for Lolita (very cosy & crowded but found a seat after a short wait) where we concluded our lunch with coffee and macaroons. It was just a short stop but very pleasant in elegant but relaxed surroundings, with an arty Parisian feel; perhaps could be described as Bourgeois/Bohemian or "BB"...recently learnt that term from a young Parisian while on a tour in Montmartre! Lolita is not just for adults, the BBBs (baby bourgeois bohemians!) were enjoying the sweets too. On a serious note, Lolita is not pretentious, the staff were warm and friendly and also related to the children very well too. A lovely place to enjoy and appreciate the best of cafe culture and artfully presented sweets. Also a good short stop for young children where they can learn the importance of good manners without needing to sit through a long restaurant experience. Many thanks to the Lolita staff - a pleasant stop in lovely Ljubljana.
