This was an absolute gem of a hostel with the most helpful do-anything-for-you staff (including driving me to the train station at 11pm to take a night train!). Room was four bed (two single, one bunk) with safes but no lockers. Rooms were very comfortable. Staff were wealth of knowledge for what to do/where to go and how to do it - you will think you need thirty days instead of three! Common area/kitchen has tv and lounge, and proved to be a very social area - there were a group of us who arrived roughly at the same time and for the next few days it was a real friendly atmosphere - fantastic. Only thing is that the room gets closed at 1030-11pm. Free bike hire, free use of laundry. None of us wanted to leave either the hostel or Bled. Really is tops. I would definitely stay there again. Only downside: showers - there really is a privacy issue here. Five showers with curtains, and that's it - I used the adjoining toilet as a change room, otherwise... ;)

Travellers Haven is a lovely mid size hostel in the picturesque town of Bled. This hostel has fantastic facilities including free internet and use of washing machine, comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms. In fact the whole hostel is extremely clean and comfortable throughout.
It has a super location on a hill close to the castle and within walking distance to the bars and restaurants of Bled. However the best thing about the hostel is the friendly atmosphere and the fanastic staff, in paticular, Mirijam who was incredibly helpful and a went out of her way to help in any way possible.

Very nice place! The rooms are big and clean and charming. The kitchen well organized and the living room very comfy. We enjoyed the stay a lot!
But the this hostels' main and winning feature is the absolutely heart-worming host lady. Her friendly advices and tips for trips can save a day!

This was one of the cleanest and best kept hostels I have ever stayed in. It definitely was not a party hostel, which was great for those who wanted to play hard during the day and have a place to relax at night with friends. The common room is very cozy with couches and a flat screen tv (and about 50 movies to chose from) and the kitchen is set up with everything needed for cooking. (There is also a big table that seats 8 for community dining if you want to do that.) The dorm rooms only sleep a max of 6, so it's much quieter during the night than a traditional hostel with 10 or 15 to a room. All the room furniture was new and well maintained, and the bathrooms were immaculately cleaned every day- no gross toilets, disgusting showers, etc. Each bathroom had soap and paper towels provided as well. It's a small hostel that only holds about 30 people, so you get to know the people staying there quite well. The staff is absolutely amazing- very, very helpful and friendly with loads of great tips for Bled (including how to do many things for free!). There is a computer in the common room with high speed internet, and 5 great mountain bikes for use (for free). Right across the street is a grocery store, and the lake is a 5 minute walk (as are numerous restaurants and pubs). The price here is a few euros more than neighboring hostels, but it is still a good bargain (under 20 euro a night during the high season- not bad!!) and you definitely will enjoy the extras that this place has over the local competition. The only (slightly) bothering thing is that the hostel has a "no shoes" policy inside (one of the reasons it stays so clean), so bring a pair of crocs, flops, or house slippers unless you want to go barefoot inside.

Would highly recommend this hostel at Riklijeva cesta 1 [--] We stayed two nights in October-07. Historical building but interior all newly renovated. New beds, bedding, very clean. Has a common modern, well equipped kitchen, and shared living room with internet, flat screen satellite TV. Moments to the lake, restaurants, the castle. Cost 19€ pp/night.
