“Worthy of three stars, not the four it has”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

The Golf hotel is better inside than it looks from the outside. The lobby is spacious, well appointed, and the piano music at night adds nice ambiance. The restaurant has large picture windows with five star views of the castle, lake, and Julian Alps. There is an extensive pool area which is covered and heated for year round use. The rooms were very nice, but nothing extraordinary. We had several maintenance issues, which were dealt with promptly. The showers, however, did not run a consistent temperature. The hotel is several streets above the lake, right in the middle of town. This hotel is very comparable to other three star properties.

Room Tip: Lake views ifpossible

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Gate 1 Croatia/Slovenia tour. It was excellent. It was located right next to the lake and our room had a great view of the lake and church. The room was clean and huge with a separate living room 1 bathroom and 1 powder room. It was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful as well. We did have an issue with the safe not working correctly but that was resolved. There was also an indoor pool, fitness room, and sauna which we used. Plus, the hotel was very close to shops and restaurants.

I was here in 2002, back again after 10 years. I have a room facing the lake. All rooms come with a balcony where one can relax on garden chair if the weather is not too cold. The sight of the lake and castle is panoramic even on a drizzling day. Staff are friendly, efficient and service is unobrtusive.

Room Tip: Choose room facing the lake. The view is beautiful.

Stayed there for 3 days during the Third International Anti-aging Congress of Slovenia 2011 (in March 2011) and sadly I didn't see much of the hotel it self.

Slovenians, we are used to good food and nice staff in hotels - and this one was no exception! It's a nice, decent hotel with Živa wellness if you want to relax.

My room was medium size and we had the lake view. There is a solid bathroom with everything included (more information on their web page).

Service was good, except the internet - slow and no wi-fi in my room while I was there. When you check-in, you get the cable for internet connection. For me, this was important, because it was a business trip and wi-fi is a "must have".

Nice staff is willing to answer all the questions =) I think you can rely on the information you can get on their web side. Satisfied in general!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the lake view!

We stayed at this Hotel at the end of our wonderful Gate 1 tour to Croatia and Slovenia. The views from the room are amazing of the Julian Alps ,the beautiful Lake and it's surrounds. It is within walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping-and of course try to catch a carriage ride around the Lake itself-or walk! (takes about an hour). The Tour-bus took us up about half way to the top of the mountain that the Castle is on-requiring some stamina to reach the top. Once there, our guide Elvis explained all the information we needed regarding the Castle, views and church in the center of the lake. The hotel itself was lovely. Many pools-all with a stunning view. Every room has a balcony to enjoy the serene and breathtaking scenery. The food at the hotel was wonderful, and the staff was very attentive. The rooms have a small sitting area in addition to the beds-and the bathroom is very spacious. It was the perfect ending to our wonderful Gate 1 trip.

Room Tip: Although all the rooms have lovely views, ask for one facing the Lake on the upper floors.

The location of Golf Hotel is wonderful. Bled lake is a piece of Paradise in the Earth. Hotel is very comfortable, it has large restaurants with delicious food and a variety of meals to choose from; wellness center provides facilities of therapeutic wraps, Ayurveda massage etc. The termal swimming pool is excelent, the water is really natural and warm and you can enjoy it even in winter. Besides, while swimming you can enjoy beautiful sights of Bled lake and Slovenian Alps.
Bled is very environmentally friendly place with extremely fresh air. But if you wanna feel more civilisation take a car, Slovenia is very small. Just one hour and you will come to Ljublana, one more hour and you will find yourself at Adriatic seacoast.
I highly recommend you Slovenia, Bled and Golf Hotel.
