Stayed here for a week on a half board basis. Breakfast was what you would expect for the area. The evening meal had plenty of choice for both fussy eaters and vegetarians. The restaurant staff were extremely polite and obliging. Reception staff were very helpful and knowledgable, although some seemed happier than others. Room was quite small but perfectly clean. On our first night there was a lot of noise but it turned out that an annual music festival was taking place in a nearby park so this was a one off - otherwise we had no noise problems. Used most of the facilities - pool, sauna, massage, billiards, bike hire, all of which were fairly cheap. Would reccommend hiring a bike to go around the lake - we hired a bike at 9am for half a day and had to return it by 5pm! Bikes were quite decent quality. Staff all spoke good English. Also enjoyed the house wine - only 1 euro 20 cents for a glass of red - cheaper than orange juice!!! Would be happy to stay here again, although the hotel could do with a general update.

Room Tip: The rooms furthest away from the reception desk were closer to the church - the bells of which start at 7am each morning!

We stayed at the Jelovica for two weeks, .We were in Slovenia to celebrate our son's wedding and mine and my Mum's birthdays.

All in all the hotel was very good, rooms were very clean and comfortable, cleaning staff very friendly.
The reception staff were a mixed bag, ranging from one guy who looked at you as if he wished he was anywhere else in the world rather than talking to you , a couple of indiferent women to the really friendly guy who seemed to do the night shift.
The restaurant staff were friendly and obliging.

The one thing I did object too was not having water provided with your meal.
We stayed on half board and found the buffet evening meal very good and varied although the food is very Austrian in style and can be a bit heavy and plain. There are plenty of salad choices as well.
The breakfast was varied and filling apart from the sausages, which were cheap and nasty

We enjoyed our two week stay very much, the wedding was marvellous, Bled is wonderful, Slovenia is fantastic.

Oh and the bar next door to the Jelovica, The Krcma is brilliant, Kaja the owner is a gem.

I would go back to Bled and I would stay at the Jelovica.

Top Tip. take ear plugs to block out Quasimodo up at the church!!!!!

Short stay with my family in 2 rooms , one with lake view and one with street view. Old and old-style hotel with very small rooms. But it is clean, breakfast is very good, location is excellent. Probably the most affordable of all classic hotels in Bled.If you don't tend to spend too much time in your room then it is very good choice.

Room Tip: not all lake room view have a lake view but are definitively quieter (bit more expensive as well)

Very noisy building next door from before 0700 until after 1900. No wifi in the room. Apartment has 2 good bedrooms but no communal sitting area. Church bells loud, but ok because it's part of the culture. Location very good. Bled is beautiful.

Stayed here for 10 days with 2 friends. I was a bit worried by some of the reviews on here but was very pleasantly surprised. Agreed it wasn't what you would call an upmarket hotel but given that we paid less than £35 per night each for bed and breakfast it was exceptionally good value. We had a "studio room" which was really a double en suite room and a connecting single room. This gave us loads of space and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The location was excellent, only a few steps from the lake and less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of Bled. The breakfast was fairly average but was plentiful. Only slight complaint would be the attitude of some of the staff. However, overall it was a good hotel and great value for money.
